Second time in three weeks that I have made a triple trying to get out of a short sided bunker. Since that splash update, I cannot get out of a bunker when I have to carry it just a few (3-7) yards. Two options: 1) blast it to the other side of the green or 2) advance the ball a centimeter and try again. I'm gonna start putting them out - hope there is no rule against that. 4 shots in a bunker would make me walk off the course in real life, and I'm much better at this video game than I am in real life haha. Have you tried chipping or pitching instead of the splash? I don't think there are rules against that and both are way more reliable and don't have those red fast duffs. I have luckily though avoided short bunkers for the most part so I haven't been faced with this dilemma in a tour round.

My tv died on Sunday, which had a crazy amount of input lag. The new one is nice and fast, but now I have to relearn the feel of all the partial shots I use (and try not to accidentally hit 89% full swings). -22 at the cut with 4 dropped shots, all caused by inconsistent partials 🥲

I felt like I had some roller coaster rounds this week. -12 (terrible putting), -14 (was that thru 14 and lipped out my way in), -9, & -12 for a total of -47. Should be top 5-10 at least. I missed too many putts this week. Most of them were my fault, and a few of them I'm still not sure what happened. Enjoyed the course though. Good luck out there everyone.

Partial pitches are the way to go for sure and you can bring you aim point way closer than the splash so its easier to get a feel for power and tempo. The ball also seems to react about the same. I will usually put max spin and the ball will still take that one bounce and check like it did for the splash. It is also pretty easy to learn. If you play with feedback off turn it on so you can feel the different shots, than turn it off when your comfortable. If you hit it the correct power you should never leave a ball in a bunker again!

What a difference a change of clubs make to my game especially on this tour where distance and aim are crucial to setting yourself up to score. Anyway, got off to a really strong start (-12) only played R1 so far. Could have easily been -14 but got nervous at the end and went into the bunker on 18 green. Took me 3 more clubs to get out and made bogey. Hopefully I can continue to score in R2. I switched to the most forgiving irons when I got up here my first time (nobody would know because my stint was so short). I actually found that the less forgiving irons where harder to hit for me on PS5. I switched back to the middle forgiveness version of the Titelist Irons found that was my sweet spot. I have a mix of HB wedges since I had a bigger gap between my PW and 9i. I also went to 3 wedges so I do not have a big gap in the 185-215 range. I guess it depends on your calibration but it feels different clubs are easier to hit than others regardless of forgiveness (for me anyway). It seems like your change is working though!!

-12,-9,-11, followed by a very disappointing -6 in R4. Great front nine but back nine the winds really picked up almost max. Was hoping for -40 so fell a couple short. Tempo was a tad off R4.

To say that my ‘weekend’ rounds were of Beer League quality, would be an insult to Beer League players… 😂😂😂
-23 after two rounds; -32 after four

Confidence is coming back a bit.
-10, -9, -8, -4
-31
Feels good to make a cut at least.

Hello. And goodbye. This will be my last week up here, as I will be collecting my final two demo marks on my way to Elite. With at most about 40% perfects at the moment, I either leave myself a challenging approach shot or I screw my approach from the fairway. With very limited time for pixel golf and very limited sleep due to our newborn, I play entirely for relaxation for the time being, not worrying about my scores or my competitiveness. This surely will change again eventually, but until then I'm fine with moving down. I just hope Cecil Harvey has been waiting for me and maybe prepared a nice welcome cake. My scores are a couple of -3's for -6 halfway. Cheers and good luck all! Until we meet again.

Enjoy Elite and your family time Get some sleep. Hope to see you back soon. Or maybe see you in Elite myself. Just in case I have a few stinkers. 👨🏻🍳⛳️

Good R3, rubbish R4. Started off with a 3-putt and it was a massive momentum killer with that wind. The rubbish R4s continue…
PS pretty excited to complain about next week’s course

I had honestly given up after 2. Went directly into round 3 after -22 to make the cut but thinking it was another week I wasted. Played okay round 3 but I was not happy with it either. Just felt so crappy. I wanted to be a top tier player able to win a tournament so bad this season.
But then the scores rolled in for round 4. I noticed Cody at the top, but Justin and Michiel had poor round 4. Suddenly, I saw a glimmer of hope. So I turned on stream, practiced today before my Final Fantasy 14 raids with my friends and thought that maybe I could have a miracle round 4 to secure a top 5 and be really happy.
Then -10 through 9 happened. -13 through 11. I was shaking with nerves. Slowed down a bit on some tough holes. Almost drained 18 for bird, just lipping out, but it capped a Platinum season best -16 to take the lead by 2 strokes. I might end up runner up or third with some great people like Jeff and Chris to play, or maybe even a magical Sloaner run to beat me. But I finally proved to myself I had it within me to get close to a win, if not get it. Felt so incredible.

Started well, but swing was slightly off in R3 and R4, so a lot of nearlys, almosts and not quites. Enjoyed the course and setups. Great playing Kara, might be good enough- Chris still to play and looking strong though
