Welcome to week 46! We are playing a classic course this week made by none other than SkinniePost Muir Woods Golf Club is based off the national monument in California as well as a very unique 9-hole Alister Mackenzie course known as "Northwood Golf Club" that crawls tightly through some massive redwood trees. Thinking the trees here are too big? I've got news for you, by scale they are actually too small compared to just how humongous redwoods can get! This course is extremely faithful to the old doctor's style of design, and just like Northwood plays extremely tight with demand for shotshaping and often taking driver out of your hands entirely. This course will really test your control off the tee and the greens are very reminiscent of another certain Mackenzie course down in Georgia. I wish you all good luck!

Love this pick, originally Q wasn't gonna schedule it due to the short length but glad he has! It's very tight out there but will hopefully provide a solid test for your woods and irons. Good luck!

Enchanting woodland course. Really enjoyed having to work each hole out. Hit three big trees full on. Was half expecting Treebeard the Ent to appear and kick me off the course. π¨π»βπ³β³οΈ

Couldn't get a putt to drop in R1. Hit 72% GIRs but only 1 birdie and 1 eagle to show for it... -3 start.
All those burnt edges in R1 turned into center-cups in R2 for a -11.
-14 at the cut. Likely another miss, but should avoid demos.

Knowing I was going to be on the road this week, had some time Saturday night to practice and get all 4 rounds in. Played pretty well overall (-38) which was nice.
Then Sunday afternoon get an email saying I was in the WGC this week and my Heart Classic rounds won't count. Not sure why since I am not in the top 64.
So then I had to speed golf 4 rounds on that without practice Sunday evening while packing bags and doing laundry. And of course played like crap.

Alright as it looks like I'll make the cut I played R3 and R4 today. Happy to report I played slightly better on the weekend (-15), compared to at the cut (-14), which brings me to -29 overall. Won't be anywhere near enough to do some damage, but felt good to be back in the mix. I went E with 9 pars on the F9 of R3 as I was fighting red fasts and red slows - a bit of what could've been after bungling that stretch, but great tournament for me!

Was almost writing off making the cut (I was another one not aware that a bunch of the other guys are in another tourney) then hit a 9 iron pitch in for an ace on 9 on round two. Woohoo! That fired me up enough to shoot -7 on the back 9 to get it to -16. Pretty stoked as I very rarely make a plat cut.

R1 -7 R2 -7 R3 -7 R4 ?
If I had to guess itβs gonna be -7. Really happy with my 64 in R3. Thought this was a bigger test for me. Had to put the ball below the hole on many of the pins or your facing orange and dark yellow putts all day.
Hopefully R4 has some better scoring chances, would like to get to -30 at least.

This was a fun course to play...probably the most enjoyable of the Plat courses all season..All about shot shaping and club selection.

Hello. Well this is slightly embarassing. The top guys are gone and I get two demo marks. I'm even more disappointed since this is, right behind the Raynor course we played a few weeks ago, the second most beautiful course we played all season. However, having to get up 2-3 times at night isn't helpful when trying to concentrate during a round of pixel golf. And so I fell apart after a triple bogey on hole 18 in round 1. Unfortunately, gaming time has become a sparsity at the moment, so that I might even be unable to finish my rounds this week for the first time. -2 and -1 for -3 halfway. Cheers and good luck all!
