Welcome to Redtail River, my CC Design contest entry. The course is set in the subarctic area in the Northern Hemisphere. The environment unveils a valley erosion where the Redtail river flows in the center, surrounded by small patches of Tiga Forrest. The design incorporates the river, as well as the enclosing hillside. Large slopes, angles, and elevation will determine the golfer's strategy. The course features a larger area of heavy rough surrounding the fairways (Rather than cliffside, as my courses tend to have HA), less punishing, making them more suitable and less nerve-wracking for a CC venue. On the other hand, I had to throw out a set of Black tees, playing about 350 yards longer than the CC for you professional golfers (and you reckless golfer) out there. I hope you enjoy it and produce some fun shots!
The par 72 course features 3 teeing grounds, black, white, and red - measuring 7533, 7183, and 6887 yards.
NB! CC Contest is played from the White tees - 7183 yards!
For a challenge, bump it up to very firm/fast. Default CC conditions is set to medium firmness for both greens and fairways. Required elements as follows: 1. At least one driveable Par 4 (#2) 2. At least two holes with center line hazard or tree (#3, #7, #9, #13) 3. At least one Par 3 greater than 230 yards (#16) 4. At least one blind tee shot (#11) 5. Four green sites each within 200 yards of each other (#2, #5, #7, #8) 6. At least three par 4s under 400 yards (#2, #14, #15) Cheers!

Well this is damn good and a definite contender! Maybe the most varied strategy I've seen on a Sindre course alsong with the gorgeous enviornment we know to expect. Great job and good luck in the comp! '

There's probably 2-3 designers that actually make we want to jump in and play their courses as soon as possible. I loved Old Faroe in last years CC and thought you were super unlucky to come up against some amazing courses in WCOD with Harrier Creek. You deserve to win this time around as much as anyone IMO. I think what I like most about your courses is not just that they look amazing but also that they're just super fun. This was no exception. 2,7,8,10,12,13 & 15 were my favourites and I had a blast. Congrats Sindre.

Great job my man. Had a blast playing it and I love the environment as usual. I agree with Heisenberg about Harrier Creek. It was my pick to win that contest and I'm a @!$#ing genius. This one is up there. Good luck!

JFC, what a great course. Loved the environment and the detail to it. Strategy involved on where to hit shots and not hit shots, greens were solid. Definitely a good test in the higher winds I had. Well done sir!

There are a very good number of exceptional course designers out there. But I agree with the statement above. I can't wait to jump in an play the courses you design. Yours are always exceptional in looks and environment. But the golf play in your courses is always top par (pun intended) in my opinion. Can't wait to check this one out. And good luck in the competition.

Holy moly, Sindre! This is up there with your best work. I played from the Black instead of the White and there's some length. I use a 285 driver so that added a bit more of a challenge. I finished +2. The greens were great and I had to use my brain a few times off the tee... which is hard because my brain has been working at a Grade 3 level lately. Great challenge and a treat for my eyes. Well done!

Just wrapped up my round and really enjoyed it. There are many great aspects but I think the sculpting of the slopes is the star of the show. You did a great job of having a lot of slope in the fairways without it being stupid, I didn’t get a single kick the entire round that resulted in a good shot bouncing into the heavy rough, in fact most of my marginal shots seemed to find a way to kick back into the fairway.
There’s many good sightlines, I especially enjoyed making my way to the back of the property and then playing back down the holes towards the water. Really nice design!
