Hole #1 The first hole is a straight ahead long downhill par 4. The fairway bunkers pose a problem so they are best to be avoided. A single pot bunker guards the center of the green. Hole #2
A dogleg left par 4 with water that may have you second guess taking driver. A trio of greenside bunkers guard the green which slopes from back to front. A collection area in the back is available for a bailout option. Hole #3 The shortest par 3 is over water. A spline that runs through the right side of the green makes club selection that much more important.Hole #4 This dogleg right par 4 has a very generous fairway. Grip it and rip it. An uphill approach shot to a manageable green makes birdie a very good possibility.
Hole #5 This straight away hole is the only par 5 on the Front 9. It plays longer than the posted yardage due to the elevation. You can go for this green in 2 but playing the hole as a 3 shotter is more efficient for managing green undulations. Hole #6 Laying up behind the waste area provides a level lie for your second shot on this par 4, but the approach will be blind. A driver down the right side will provide a view of the green but the slope of the fairway may alter your trajectory. Consider pin placement before picking your approach line. Hole #7 This long downhill par 3 provides the golfer with some fairway if they choose to run the ball onto the green. Be mindful of the deep greenside bunker. Hole #8 The short dogleg right par 4 possesses the tightest tee shot on the course. Choose to carry the corner or lay up down the left side of the fairway as missing right is very punishing. The green slopes from front to back. Hole #9 This long par 4 plays as a par 5 for members. The generous fairway is a sharp contrast to the previous hole and a solid drive will provide a good sightline to the green which is guarded by 4 bunkers. Par is a good score.

Hole #10 A mid-length dogleg left par 4 greets the golfers after the turn. A gully bisects the fairway and is marked OB. It's possible to carry the gully with a big drive but definitely risky. A waste area runs up both sides of the fairway. Use the green slopes to your advantage. Hole #11 This mid-length par 5 provides the golfer with a generous landing area. Grip and rip down the left side or lay up to the bunkers to the right and play the angle into the green. Going for the green in 2 invites trouble as the green slopes towards the water hazard. Hole #12 A short island green par 3 has an elevated tee shot. The safe play is to the center of the green and be happy with a par. Hole #13 A short par 4 with a fairway peppered by 4 centerline pot bunkers. Many options are available off the tee that will still leave a short iron to wedge on approach. The green is a double plateau surrounded by bunkers. A total of 15 bunkers protect this hole. Hole #14 This medium length par 4 has a waste area that pinches the fairway which will force the golfer to make a choice off the tee. The approach shot is over a body of water. Shots that go long funnel to a collection area. Hole #15 Laying up before the bunkers will leave a blind approach on this par 4. Watch out for a nasty waste area and deep greenside bunkers. Hole #16 This long par 3 has a redan inspired green. A run up is available providing different shot options. Pin 3 requires a very accurate tee shot. Hole #17 The final par 5 on the course is downhill. A centerline pot bunker may be reachable for the longest hitters but it will most likely not pose much of a problem. This hole is a great scoring opportunity. Hole #18 The course ends with a long uphill par 4. Keep the tee shot to the right on this slight dogleg left for the best angle to green. Try to stay below the hole on your approach as a pin high shot may leave a tricky sweeping putt.

I really enjoyed following your WIP thread on this one and the finished product didnโt disappoint! Really enjoyed the course and with the round I had off the tee, I sure saw a lot of it ๐! Despite not playing as well as I would have liked to, I still had a great time. That, to me, is one of the hallmarks of a great course! The planting here was spot on and the holes all had some nice, interesting strategy to them. Tagging mayday_golf83 for a possible diamond cutter here if he can squeeze it in between all the WCOD hullabaloo. Anyway, great job here bud ๐๐ป. Excited to see what you come up with next!

Thanks for the kind words. I took my time with this course, blew up a lot of holes and redesigned them and I found that improved things. Some holes saw a lot of changes. I'm proud of this course as it's easily my best work yet and this experience may help me in the National Treasure competition.

Good stuff bud. Just a few things I nitpicked here and there, but it's a solid course for sure. Sorry for the course title not fitting in the top bar correctly. Didn't notice it until after the round, lol
Congrats on another publish!

Good stuff bud. Just a few things I nitpicked here and there, but it's a solid course for sure. Sorry for the course title not fitting in the top bar correctly. Didn't notice it until after the round, lol Congrats on another publish! Thanks for the playthrough. I knew that some placement of the rocks were going to ruffle some feathers. I decided to put the OB on #10 due to the bridges being there. It could make for some awkwardness if the ball rolls under (although you could take an unplayable). arieladam mentioned similar things with small adjustments of raising and lowering land to improve sightlines and view bunkers. Definitely an area to work on. I added the two furthest pot bunkers on #13 to make driver more risky. I prefer taking a wood down the right side because it opens up the green more. Laying up before the bunkers leaves a short iron or a wedge so it's not too bad either. And to answer the question at the end of the playthrough, this was my 3rd course. Cheers!

I'm very happy to say that Bighorn Glen Golf Club has been approved as Tour Worthy! My first Tour Worthy course and hopefully more to come. I know this course isn't perfect and does have some shortcomings that I will improve upon in my future courses. I received some fantastic constructive criticism from playthroughs which I really appreciate. WhatAboutAmeobi , LucasEatWorld , arieladam68, jayraygun , mayday_golf83 , Q and more... Thank you.
