After spending the better part of over 2 hours today in a rabbit hole of golf architechtual research, which of course was started by a simple question that I have long since forgotten, I feel like I will join the ranks of participants in the creative endeavour.
Because honestly, how can you not dig anything made by a man named Tillingahst.

So I made a start - posting this here partly to see if I can get the images to embed properly this time! If so, I might create a WIP thread.   Most of this is placeholder - 4 holes in the middle are pretty much done but need extensive planting. The large, ugly bunkers are placeholders for hazards that will split the holes up, and the geometric shapes are areas that I can plant heavily without ruining sight lines. I’m really please with the routing, can’t wait for it to come together into something hopefully quite interesting! |

I've ever done a design contest before, but am quite familiar with parkland courses since that's most of what I play in real life. Gonna sign up here and give this a go...good luck to all and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Not sure if it got missed, but I am signing up for this contest...posted this a few days ago, and my username is still not on the original post. Just wanted to make sure it didn't slip thru the cracks! |

Hey all, just published my most recent course Brookdale Village CC. Pretending as though I am in this contest, even though I can't allow myself to.. Hopefully all designers participating can get at least one thing from playing this course to help them with their design process! |

Love the idea of this contest - so sign me up - definitely not enough parkland courses on 2K21.
I have recently discovered the bug of course design and will finish DL2.4 before embarking on this!

After a few play around's with Plots I have now got something I like. Yesterday I started and god 2 holes done. Still maybe a bit of planting at the end if I have any plant meter left.   |
