Parkland Golf Course Design Contest

SEE NEW THREAD HERE: Parkland/Golden Age Design Contest

Thinking about starting a contest, since I love making parkland style, classic tree-lined golf courses.. In the game I don't see too many courses of this style published (there are some great ones though), and I know I have had a few conversations with others about this before.

I've put together a quick list of popular courses that could be used as inspiration:

- Winged Foot
- Firestone Country Club (South Course)
- Oak Hill
- Muirfield Village
- Baltustrol
- Glen Oaks Club
- Cog Hill Golf & Country Club
- The Belfry (Brabazon)
- Crooked Stick
- TPC River Highlands
- Colonial Country Club


Let me know if anyone is interested in participating, any level of designer experience welcome of course.

Thinking if this picks up steam in the next week or so, I would make the publish window sometime mid/late September. I'd imagine 2-2.5 months should give enough time to make 18 holes of this style, where extensive planting isn't the main focus point (which takes up most of the time when designing)

CC wraps up end of August. Doubt I could manage both. But you never know.
