Welcome to Canuck's Summer of Signature Holes! A short, fun contest open to EVERYONE!
The Details: This contest requires designers to build the most beautiful and interesting golf hole in PGA Tour 2K21. The contest will be hosted and judged by myself and Spartan4Knight. The winning prize is TBD, but am talking to 2K about chances of a prize pack from them. There is no official rubric, Spartan and I will be ranking our Top 18 holes and the highest combined ranking between the two of us wins!
Rules, SIgnups, and Submissions
- There are no "official" signups. Everyone is welcome to give this a try and all holes will be looked at. We will only be providing feedback regarding the top holes in the competition.
- You can start NOW and have until AUGUST 15TH at 11:59 PST to compete your golf hole
- Designers may only submit ONE hole to the competition, once you have submitted, you can't anymore!
- If there are issues in publishing a one hole course, please add some unplayable holes until it lets you publish, but make sure your judged hole is Hole 1.
- To submit your entry DM me on TGCTours forums or Twitter with the name of your published hole and a screenshot of your hole. Quality of the screenshot will not be considered in the judging. Consoles, there are ways of getting screenshots for your course. There are plenty of solutions in doing this. Courses without screenshots or submitted incorrectly will not be judged.
- You are allowed to publicly stream your build or show off your design on social media. So do it!
Restrictions
- Your golf hole must be between 95-650 yards in length from the back tees to the middle of the green.
- The hole must be playable (i.e. I am able to get the ball in the hole without a ridiculous amount of shots and I am able to play the hole smoothly without having to adjust graphics settings).
- Be careful with lag! It will be tempting to throw 100% of your meter onto one hole, but if it is a slideshow trying to play, it will be disqualified.
- You must also consider the surrounding area of your golf hole (i.e.as far as the eye can see when the ball is high in the air.)
- As mentioned earlier, but judging will be roughly 75% aesthetics and hole design and 25% hole construction (bunkers, greens, transitions, etc)
- Your golf hole must be 100% fictional. It can be inspired by real life courses, but not copied.
Spartan and I will be doing a live stream in August (and possibly some in July, where we give some of these entries a spin!)
Good luck everyone!
