I'm almost done. Just got some background planting to finish. I thought about playing the BDE power move and posting very first well a month ahead but I'll wait and readdress it sometime in July and see if I want to tinker at all.

It’s quite a different approach to the usual method… typically setting a plot up, thinking about routing etc… it’s a different mindset to almost fast forward to thinking about where on a plot a great looking hole would be and then thinking about what else might I see from that vantage point and mocking that up… really interesting!… I’ve had a go this week with 4 new plots and it’s generated some interesting possibilities… definitely working on the principle that if I try multiple options I’ll get a better result than starting one and trying to get it perfect..

Sketched out my ideas today during the US Open and if I can produce it in the designer it’ll be interesting and definitely pretty to look at. Will it be strategic? Well, I think I’ve drawn up something unique, but we’ll see what the judges think. Is it self-indulgent and totally unnecessary? Absolutely 100%!

If you only want to publish one hole, then just try I guess? I added 4 more holes anyway with most of them hidden/unplayable and it published fine as a 5 hole course. |
