Pretty fun track this week, it helped I was shooting pretty good too.
Ended at -14 in CC-G, but rounds were all over the place. 73, 64, 71, and a final round 66. We'll see if that will be good enough for a promo mark this week.

I played like a bag of ding-dongs and will not be making the cut. Was on cruise control for the first 13/14 holes, tempo on drives was great, approaches were acceptable, but then missed 3 putts under 7 feet to go from -1 to +2. Should have walked away and run another practice round, recalibrated, etc, and come back when my head was in it. Instead, forged on, hitting the water on 6, fighting tempo confidence, and felt like I had a pretty good shot to make the cut at +4 overall, but had a bunker meltdown on 16 with Pin Two (PLAY to the middle of the green... I hit a perfect/perfect approach the wind pushed ever so slightly, hit the fringe and trickled in) and with a 10 yard bunker shot, I stupidly tried to play a 65% shot and flubbed it twice before blasting across the green to chase a triple and my way clear out of the the tournament. Every shot counts. Not ready to take some time off yet, but so frustrating to have two "good" rounds end up totaling +8... but that's golf. Exactly what I did on 16 in round 2. I hit a great iron off the tee that trickled somehow into the left bunker. Then took me 4 shots to get out of the bunker then a frustrated 3 putt for a 5 over on the hole, the round and the tourney. I was even for the tourney at the time. I used to only use the splash around the green now I dread it.

Hope this helps but I find the splash works really well so long as you don’t move the aiming marker 👍🏻

Yeah, it's the partial splash that's broken, the 100% one works though. I don't know why but it seems impossible to get anything but a red fast on partial splashes unless you really lag the stick forward.

Fun course this week…really enjoyed it. Not overly difficult but there were definitely some tee shots that got the nerves going pretty good. Did not have nearly the sporadic tempo issues as I have the last few weeks and am looking at my first top 5 of the season. Though I’m sure some jerk is gonna post a late score and crush my hopes and dreams

Haven't been reporting here on these weekly threads much lately, the game's been tough on me and been slipping down slowly. Almost got demoted from CC-D last week only to survive by moving above double demo territory at the last possible moment, but bounced back this week with a -11 final total and a first made cut in over a month, -10 in the second round got me there. Other rounds a -1 combined! Last 2 rounds struggled with tempo but this time around it felt like it was totally my fault, played like a dumb dumb at times. Did get a third TGCT ace in round 3 though! Perfect tempo, 100% power, straight down the middle. Can it get better than that apart from the distance carried?
Cheers and good luck going forward!

Played this for Happy Tee Friends and I just wanted to say it was a really fun course and I just enjoyed how pretty it was. Really, the holes were pleasant to look at, the approach shots felt really rewarding when you hit good shots, it wasn't too easy with some fairly tough greens (tamed down a bit with the 144s). One of my favorite cc courses of the year.
