The European Championships start later today so who is everybody tipping to win it. Will it be World Cup Winners France or #1 ranked team Belgium, will Croatia go one better than losing finalists in the World Cup? Can England step up and make home advantage count, or will hotly tipped Italy emerge victorious? There's always the other big countries like Spain, Holland and Germany to consider. Or will we have see a country emerge like Denmark in 92 or Greece in 04?
I'm just glad that Scotland made it after 23 years and will be cheering them on.

I personally do not like international football find it very boring as teams play not to lose rather than try to win. But i would say like last tournament France have the best squad,England will flatter to decieve,Spain are usually good, but Germany always turn up when it matters. Italy have a chance, but i would pick the Germans.

Absolutely shocking scenes in Copenhagen. Hang in there Christian Eriksen.

That was horrible to watch. I hope Eriksen makes a recovery.

He is stabilized and conscious at the hospital. So glad to hear. I think they literally shocked his heart back on the field. So scary to watch but glad he’s awake.

A lot of criticism of the BBC for not cutting away to the studio. My children were quite upset, I think the criticism is justified. We were literally watching a man fighting for his life and a close up of his wife crying. Not good. Awful scenes.

Yeah, that was a rough watch. Back to the OP - gotta feel it's France's to lose. There's a number of teams in with a shout, but I cannot see a weakness in their team / bench in the way that you can with everyone else's side.
Would be delighted if England make QFs - no chance we repeat semis like WC 18. I really hope that we don't play negative, cautious football and instead play to our strengths and go for it more than we usually do. But we know that's just a pipedream...

England have the firepower to hurt anybody but they have to turn up. If they play like England, high intensity, press high up the pitch, get at them, they've got a chance. If they try and play like Spain they've got no chance. I have hope but not expectation.
On paper it's France or Belgium for the tournament but this game isn't played on paper. The Germans and Italians always bring it at the big tournaments.

First timers at this stage, as we Finns finally got to see our national team play at this big tournament yesterday after countless disappointments and poor performances in our history. I won't make predictions on exact winners but it just has to be one of the favorites that will win it, don't see a surprise winner taking it home even though I'd love to see that happen.
Our campaign got such a sour start despite winning yesterday, the outcome of the game doesn't matter after a shock incident like that. Thank goodness it seems like Eriksen will make a recovery and it isn't ending in the worst way. An absolute shocker that was in a lot of different ways, but I won't touch on that any more than I have to. Hoping from the bottom of my heart that Denmark goes on a great run for Eriksen, and hoping our next game against Russia on Wednesday goes on like usual. Our last game against Belgium almost certainly will be a shocker, so that's all I can really ask for at this point.

Big game for Scotland today, we played them twice last year and won both so a repeat of that would be excellent.

Well, that was surprisingly good! 🏴 Right?! Most exciting football we've played in years and I loved the high press. Have to say I wasn't sure on the selection (still not sold on Walker/Trippier), but he got the midfield spot on. Phillips and Mount were outstanding in particular. Fingers crossed he sticks with this approach. Hard luck today Celtic Wolf - heck of a second goal from them as well.
