Bristol City Giraffe72 - Ajax After escaping with a draw on the terrible pitch last week, the Ajax players were eager to get started with their match against Bristol City. Lovely first 10 minutes with some solid defending and a few nice shots at the Bristol goal. But then, for some reason, the wheels came off a bit. Klaassen, Tadic, Haller and Antony all hit the woodwork and Stekelenburg didn’t look his usual reliable self when Bristol started to penetrate the Ajax defence when the Ajax players were slow to get back after hitting the crossbar for the umpteenth time... Round 1: -8 |

Must go ready ourselves for our next match (are they Scottish or Irish? The name confuses us). Sawubona  THE Orlando Pirates Glasgow Celtic were formed in 1887 by Brother Walfrid to help alleviate poverty within the Irish immigrant community in the city. So they are a Scottish club but have continuous links with Irish people throughout the world. |

The Sky Blues go in at half time after 45 minutes that pretty much sums up how things are lately. Finally settled on a formation and tempo they were comfortable with and went racing out of the blocks asking serious questions of the Cumbrian visitors, their fans standing out in the plush Coventry Building Society Arena by their dress of John Deere overalls. Hell of a drive down the M6 by tractor, fair play to them. The City strikers were buzzing in the box then calamity at the back strikes again as both McFadzean and Hyam see red (fast) twice in a few minutes and head for an early bath. The remainder of the half is spent trying to drag things back to respectability. Half time oranges report...
Round 1 -7
Round 2 -2
(On a pixel golf note I seem to have found a calibration that suits me, but on Round 2 on the 2nd successive red fasts on the same shot set up ended up in the drink for a quad. Damage limitation after that. Played pretty well on the other 35 holes and but for a few close shaves on the putting could've been better. Seemed to have eventually mastered the short game changes. This together with my NFL round has encouraged me greatly. Finally getting somewhere possibly?)

1st Round E
Having played the Pirates during pre-season Celtic should be aware of the task at hand. There was a few chances that fell Celtic's way but the only real threat to the Orlando goal was a McGregor effort that skimmed off the foot of the post and out. In the 7th minute a catalogue of errors in the Celtic defence led to a great chance for the home team to take the lead. After that opportunity the match cooled down and apart from a couple of efforts at either end it was quite uneventful.

Decided to finish off and it's left me more convinced than ever that it sometimes isn't how you play but when you play. Tempo was all over the shop when comparing to earlier today and even saw some screen judders on the graphics and I'm running a top class graphics card. I, and the Sky Blues, are putting this one down to experience. I swam most of the way around Round 4  Round 3 -2

****streaker alert**** After about 25 minutes into the Bristol City Giraffe72 - Ajax match, a streaker jumped onto the pitch and completely ruined Ajax’ attempt at scoring goals - in fact, they looked at the wrong goal a few times and still took their shot... Round 2: -8 IGolfBad would you please make sure not to select live ghost while playing and crash somebody’s competitive round - twice - because while I love your company, it ruined any tempo I had and even made the game force my avatar to look at the wrong pins because you were playing a different pin - cost me at least 5 shots... |
