Burton Albion played well in the first 22 and were rewarded with an early goal (R1: 67). However, the Brewers then got a little too casual with the ball and Barca took advantage, just as any Championship club would, and scored an equalizer just prior to half time (R2: 71). There will definitely be need to be some adjustments made and JFH already has the speech prepared.

4th Round 64 (-6)
If this is to be Celtic's swansong in the Pixel Golf Premiership then they left on a high. There was a couple of chances through Forrest and McGregor but it wasn't until the last 10 minutes that they showed what they could do. Some may say that Cassino had the points in the bag and were saving themselves for the title decider but the link up plays between Rogic, McGregor and Edouard were more reminiscent of their old selves.

A deserved goal for Celtic in the final stanza.

While the Pirates were completely outclassed in the first half, Orlando fought back to draw with the sleep deprived Diddlers.
Round 3 -4
Round 4 +1
Is it enough to avoid the relegation playoffs? Only the Commish can tell.
Onward!

Very reminiscent of that infamous 1982 World Cup game between West Germany and Austria where a 0-0 draw was enough to see both teams out of the group and there were zero attempts on goal in the 90 minutes.

Barcelona - Burton Albion Barca were shocked coming out for the second half to learn the match was level at a goal a piece. They did not suspect their play would be near good enough to achieve this but there was some hope of pulling the stunning upset as they emerged from the locker room. The players however didn’t know what they were truly facing in the second half. Play was generally steady with a normal amount of under hit passes and some attempts on goal that truly left them scratching their heads. However, the ball literally did not bounce Barca’s way…at all…leading Koeman to say in the post match press conference that he felt Barca deserved a better result than the score would indicate. R3: +10; R4: +7 Safe to say I don’t see us stealing yet another goal from the Brewers. Sad to say I don’t think I played all that poorly, just got some incredibly unlucky bounces off rocks on the par 3s especially. I’m not going to miss this course very much haha

Good luck hanging on for the CCA win Riotous! Nice shooting! Got my fingers crossed for you, hoping you don't get the same fate I did a few months ago in CCD 😬 Looking again, barring something ridiculous it looks like it's in the bag

Pixel Golf Football S3 - Championship, week 9: Herne Bay @ Hyvinkään Palloseura, second halfWell, even if based on our half time talk we could have just given up after being down 0-2, we wanted to go out on a real feel good of knowing we still gave it our best effort. And you know what? Even if this part of the game still saw us get scored on, we did just that! Lots of very good saves (I swear I have never saved par in so many clutch, ridiculous ways like I have on this round! Probably like 5 or 6 saves on there), good fighting even though things looked bleak after some mistakes. Yeah, the payoff didn't quite come through even though we fought hard but that's the way it is sometimes. (Round 3: -4, 66. Bogey free. Somehow.)We had a bit of a flat finish this week with a few unlucky bounces (we may have used it all during the game), but still managed to leave everything on the pitch this week. We may get beat 4-0 or 3-1 or 3-0 this week, but we gave it a hell of an effort that we can be proud of to end our season. Unless of course, there's still something left beyond this week. (Round 4: -1, 69)Finished with all 4 under par rounds, last round finished with back to back birdies to claw that last one to 1 under. Damn pleased with this week, after sinking the last putt I actually stood up and punched the air in excitement since I don't think I've played this well in a long time! Despite still having tons of off tempo struggles and other weaknesses, of course. But for this one week, I managed to beat it all and got consistent results out of it, which I can be very happy about! Hopefully next week isn't such a big kick in the nuts, eh? Well played Paul, that handicap is damn tough to beat. Good luck in the playoff, show one of those Prem teams what small town teams are made of!

Speaking of....No score in the Liverpool/ManU tilt. Postponed by weather? Covid? Locusts? In the Battle of the Jasons it is no shock that there is a delay in the scores coming in. For Manchester Jason, possibly a weather delay is to blame as the weather has been truly biblical in the North West this week. One of my neighbours appears to be constructing a large sea-going vessel in his garden whilst his wife gathers two of every animal unto her. A side note, I played up in the Pennines yesterday and a 385 yard par-4 into a howling gale was a driver, 4-hybrid, 4-hybrid then pitching wedge for me, although it wasn't quite a full pitching wedge. As for Aussie Jason he is usually pre-occupied in the early part of the week with traditional Antipodean pursuits such as tossing shrimps on barbies, tying kangaroos down and being bluddy gud at sport mate. I have forgiven his late posting as he always goes that extra mile in the report when it gets here. You'll just have to wait and see.
