I think it's time to put the "extracurriculars" on hold! Although skateparks are a California icon. [img style="max-width:100%;" alt="" src="https://i.imgur.com/pNILfw8.png[/img"] Is this Tony Hawk park builder?!

mattyfromcanada Well I got some time last night and this morning to work on it so my submission can be found at “DL2.3 - TrailDucker”
I repurposed the Quarry at Merion dipping into their driving range and to the end of where 18 and 14 are along side each other for my extended plot. Obviously there’s a border of trees but in the actual plot all the larger cluster of trees you see are roughly in the same spot as on the real course, but adjusted here and there for lighting. I sort of dragged my feet on this but once I dove it in all went pretty quick. This laughably is another 6 hole submission at over 92%. These submissions do have a baked in 20% for the surrounding trees to hide unused plot. But the other 70% is because I used the wheat plants instead of grass for draw distance, but used Hyper planting and multi planting for laziness which jacks up the meter. I am going for CC level difficulty here so please any feedback on if I achieved that would be greatly appreciated.

My entry is published, titled THDL2.3 mattyfromcanadaThis course features all the Philly steaks you can eat. Here's an overview to show you what we're working with: The first hole tees off near the real 18 green and plays down to where the real 16th green is and is a semi-accurate recreation of the 16th green site. 2 plays as a reverse 16, utilizing what is essentially the 16 fairway, and finishing up by the 15th green. Number 3 starts near the 16 tee, and plays down towards the quarry where there is a practice area on the real course. You can see the first three holes below: 4 plays back up towards the northeast corner of the property where the driving range currently is: 5 plays down to near the real 17 green. It's a drivable par 4 coming from the opposite direction as the real 17, teeing off from the hill in the right side of the real photo. In the photo below the real fringe plays as my green area. Finally 6 plays as a reverse 17, teeing off near the 17 green playing back over the quarry to where the 17 tee box is. Good luck everyone!

mattyfromcanada . Published as MJM DL2.3 Quarry Looks like I won't have more time to mess with this before the deadline so here it is a few days early. Decided to go with Merion with a bit less manicured environment. Also tried to adjust the routing to use as much space as possible around the quarry. Land movement/elevation created from hole flyovers, hole-by-hole pictures, and google earth data. Hole 1: Teeing off near the original 16th tee gives a familiar first look at the quarry. Tees moved up slightly for visibility. Instead of crossing the quarry with your second shot, play up the hill to a green now sitting near the former 15th tee. The false front from the 16th green was replicated. Hole 2: Tee off next to the quarry, play along the property line with OB right. The green sits in a site formerly occupied by the first fairway. Hole 3: The only hole to not play from, around, or to the quarry as well as the only par 3. The green sits near the former first tee so now diners get to watch you hit a nervous approach. Hole 4: Playing back up the hill to the quarry, the tee box is located adjacent to the former 18th green but plays more in the direction of the former 16th green. The new greensite takes the place of the old 17th tee, with the land around the old 16th green and bunkers providing interesting lies and options for bouncing the ball toward the green. Hole 5: Tee box sits between the old 17th tee box and 18th fairway. Fairway begins just in front of the old 17th green and extends up onto the former practice area and driving range. Hole 6: Heading back toward the quarry from the driving range, blind tee shot is a tribute to the real 18th. Green sits between the old 16th fairway and old 17th green site up on a quarry ledge. Hope you all enjoy. Looking forward to checking back in next week to see how many entrants we end up with. Best of luck to those still working.

My computer has finally kicked the bucket after weeks of fighting it. Going to have to bow out of this one 😞. A new PC will mean a new, revamped and stronger Q, so we’ll look out!
