I don’t even know how to begin on something like this haha. Google earth and 1000 of image searches I go then I guess 😂 Even though your course can't be lidar there's nothing stopping you from booting up a lidar of it in-game and taking notes

You got it, yes! virtualgolfer65 Sorry if the instructions weren't clear, my bad! Matty final clarification... If I recreate the ot for enough space to fit my 6 holes and close it in is that enough? Or is it the full 18 hole sized plot then route and build the 6 holes?

You got it, yes! virtualgolfer65 Sorry if the instructions weren't clear, my bad! I saw this and I got so excited to use the Merion plot, but wanted to ensure I wasn't under or over-reading your instructions. I suspect that the majority of the contestants found your instructions clear, but for dum-dums like me, clarification keeps me from being disqualified for not following the rules. From flat plot in contest 2 to serious earth-moving here..... yes with a capital YES!!!!!

Google earth and 1000 of image searches I go then I guess 😂 Even though your course can't be lidar there's nothing stopping you from booting up a lidar of it in-game and taking notes Q the rules say "No Lidar", which any good lawyer will argue that means "no using lidar for the plot" AND "no lidar can be viewed, played or imagined of the plot". Further, using the word "Lidar" and the plot name is a "no go!" P.S. The above post is a joke. I already checked out the Merion East lidar, along with theclv24 version

Any other "over-achievers" out there?!?!?!? Not sure how this may work out. Scope of work may be too large to produce top quality but gotta start somewhere.

Rae's Creek and Tributary (there's a yearly tournament hosted at this venue) This is a bit of an obscure one. For anyone who isn’t familiar, it hosts an alternate event opposite a major, the major being the Sanderson Farms Championship.

I have two non-lidar plots of land that might be helpful here as a staring point... DM me if interested and I'll send my vemno account info.

I don't think I'll be doing this one, its way beyond my skill level. Not sure how I'd get all the elevations right. Distances, maybe, but everything else would be very hard.

Having just spent the best part of 3 hours measuring things on google earth with the grand result of having planted about 7 trees, I think that might be a wise decision. However, now I’ve started, I really want to see what I can do with this.

If you need to clear some trees around a certain creek around a certain course in Georgia to build your golf holes, thats totally fine.

Totally get in the later post the time commitment concerns, but I'll only add here, mattyfromcanada is intentionally choosing competitions to challenge designers skill sets to help them grow, so even if your end result is a disaster it'll probably really boost your confidence and skills in the designer. I'm not the most thrilled with this one, but assuming I have time I'll definitely try to put an entry in!

alright, I got a routing, water on the left of a hole at pebble other than 18? unheard of. Being forced to sketch this out in 2 dimensions is going to be the end of me
