I agree with the others. Very informative video. (Though I was kind of hoping it was going to be conversational style.) Really appreciate all the time you guys donate to helping us all be better designers!

Wow, Crazy Canuck sounds exactly like comedian Nick Wiger.

Is there any crowd requirement for tour worthy courses? I'm not opposed to having a crowd set up, but I'm also not a huge fan of how crowds look on this game.

No, crowds are not required. Not required, but do well placed crowds earn me bonus points towards being tour worthy?

No, crowds are not required. Not required, but do well placed crowds earn me bonus points towards being tour worthy? "Tour Worthy" status is only determined by the course itself and how it plays. If done right, crowds do enhance the environment and make it feel like a tourney venue. But they can also be done poorly and they look odd and can take away from it, too. Some people will release a course with no crowds or objects, then release another "Tour" version with crowds, camera towers, etc. That's one way you could go. But the course design, layout, and visual appeal of the total overall environment is what will earn the TW status.

I've seen "Tour" in course names before, but I was under the impression that "Tour" implied it was selected as Tour Worthy.
Thanks

Do you have any videos hidden away that reference any best practices for how you cycle through the 4 pin locations? Most course I play in real life go middle-front-back-middle-front-back-etc or zones 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3. Do you mat out zones the same way and cycle through them for your pin placements or is there some other process (Easy-med-hard...or funnel-tucked-flat...etc) or is it totally by feel?

No videos, but I did put this together a while back: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/29024/pre-publish-checking-sheetUp to you how you do it. I feel rotating in a pre-determined rotation loses some randomness and interest, but often instead try to map pins based on hole length, tee set or wind direction. Based on those three and your pin position, different hazards can come into play and encourage different shot types. But yeah, I wouldn't get too rigid with it.
