When I use the fuzzy circle brush to flatten my green (in the area around the pin) I sometimes spam tap. Invariably, after three or four taps, I suddenly create a black hole to another dimension in my green that I have to undo.
Over the weekend I swear it wasn't happening as often. Has anyone else noticed this?

I still managed that a couple of times yesterday ...the 'pit of despair'. Funny it appears whether smoothing up or down, never creates giant hills 🙄

I've never had this happen on PC... Is it specific to console?

I've never had this happen on PC... Is it specific to console? Crazy! I'm on a decent PC and like I said, it used to happen every four or five taps. It was quite annoying. It's still happening, but in 30 minutes or so of flattening this weekend I think it only happened once. (Come to think of it, I did make a pretty big change recently. I lowered all my graphic settings, to stop from hard drive from thrashing whenever the game was running. Might be related, too.)

I find it only happens if I tap in the exact same spot at least 3 times (Xbox)
If I move the brush ever so slightly, never seems to happen.

I still see it regularly whenever I spam tap.

Yep, it was back with a vengeance last night. I must have just gotten lucky.
