A woman's work is never done. That is what I have been finding out as I face my challenges as Nurse, cook, run to the food market, fix the meals, clean the dishes. feed the dogs. wash the clothes and then perform nursing duties to someone who has sciatica (painful to say the least) and then try to do the exercises for the knee replacement. Her pain level is 9-10 and she is taking oxy like it is candy. I don't know how long this is going to last so I have asked Mike Ricks to take over in my absence. I think Bino will step in to help mike with some admin work. I will be back asap but it will not be this season coming up. Sorry guys! One thing to consider would be to go up into the pro division and add a few needed players or down to the Beer League to gauge interest. (paul or ben could possible help) Off to the surgeon for an appt! Let's wait and see about how many players we have or need. As I said earlier I would be happy with 16 players, no Divisions and a six week season. What I want are players that really want to be there, obviously taking into account personal issues that can come up. |

sandsaver01Got my first two rounds in before my work trip this week. Should get to the other rounds before Friday. Started with a red fast that led to bogey on the first hole and a red slow on 16 that put me in the water for a double bogey we’re my only glaring tempo issues and soured a otherwise good opening round -8. Struggled a bit more especially on the back of round two with crazy tempo issues but managed to scratch out a -5 to sit -13 at the cut.

I may have missed, misread or something. Is it the two top teams playing this week in a playoff and the rest of us pig truck dwellers don't have to play?
I've played round 1 but rage quit when the janky tempo randomness kicked in full gear began in round 2. Will continue on if we are supposed to play, if not I can forget this course and move on to the next.

Couple of fun rounds, the driver was erratic but managed to stay out of too much travel and scramble and putt relatively well. R2 full of adventures but hopefully a good best ball scorecard. R1: -8 R2: -6 sandsaver01   |

I was en fuego on the outward half of round two, -8 with two eagles and no bogeys, reliable tempo leads to good results. Then reality struck and I was playing like round one, way too many off tempo shots for -1 with two bogeys. The thing is I could feel when I did the off tempo shots, I knew it even before I saw the ball or the meter on almost all of them. I suspect I tightened up and so I can't blame HB for this one.  |

sandsaver01Finished up my last 2 rounds and overall a pretty good tournament. My final round was the best overall but one where I feel like I almost played my worst. Every par 5 I got awful red tempo issues and couldn’t come close to getting on in 2 which is what I did do well in the other rounds. I also started real slow with 4 straight pars but birdied 11 of the remaining 14 holes. Combo of crazy good iron play and good putting. Only a handful of issues with tempo and now obviously I feel like I left some chances out there but can’t complain. Really hope I can get my first top 10 this week. -8, -5, -9, -11 = - 33

sandsaver01R2: -10 R3: -15 R4: -14 A conclusion to my Dirtbag career that I can be proud of. Hopefully it's enough for us to win the championship this week! Thanks again Mike for all your hard work to input our scores - it is much appreciated and without you we wouldn't have the Dirtbags. Thanks Bill for bringing us all together - I hope your wife is doing well. And thanks as well to all the other Dirtbags, it's been a blast!! In fitting last appearance fashion, I forgot to screencap my second round and had to replay with my ghost lol (second line below, Mike, the -10 one)... but anyways, here are the pics:

The first two rounds of the Playoffs (playoffs, playoffs, whaddya mean playoffs!!!) are done and it is a tie now. Some amazing ham-and-egging by the Ben T and Mike B pairing, whose combined score was -6 but better-ball was -12, vs Mike R and Brandon G with a combined -14 but a better-ball of -11, way to go Snottys!
