Another tedious grind of an event for me. Every shot, every hole. Feels like I'm in constant battle with the game, the servers, the old lady down the street, Jesus, my brain, guardians in the crucible, the mouse that is eluding me in the house, the bag of chips that my old Parkinson's hands can't seem to open (you know you are old when you struggle to open a bag of chips) sandsaver01Round 1

Hi guys sorry I didn’t complete my rounds last week just had too much on my plate with my personal issues, I can only apologise but going through some
Tough times. I will need to withdraw immediately so as to not cause any further issues so hope you guys can come up with a solution in meantime to see the season out and again I apologise for leaving you guys in the lurch.

I certainly hope Bill's wife surgery goes well.
This week we have at least two and probably three folks who are not going to play their rounds for personal reasons. I substitute the scores from people in the same flight with the WGR closest to theirs. This is far from a perfect solution since I have to use subs that make the cut, and I hope it does not affect outcomes too much but it is all I can do at this late date.

sandsaver01Oh well, not the way I wanted to go out, clearly my controller is bust as I have to pull back 7, 8 times sometimes to get the backswing to start properly which just plays havoc with your tempo, which of course already has its problems. I finished anyways just for some sort of integrity. +37 for the four rounds, the game now unplayable, which is almost good timing as this was my last week as a Dirtbag for now. Real shame as I just gone from CC-D to CC-B and was starting to be more competitive. Rd 1 = +6 rd 2 = +13 rd 3 = +3 rd 4 = +15 Bill and Mike thanks for organising over what feels like the best part of a year now. During all the lockdowns etc... this has been a nice little event to keep my mind occupied. I appreciate the effort and understand not always easy to please all of the people all of the time. Hope to catch you again soon. I am sure when the trailer drops for 2K22 they will get me hooked in again.

We appreciated you being here Neil, and I am so sorry about your swing issue; I had something like that for a while on PS4 in TGC2019, I had to do a couple of practice swings each time to make it work, but it did not seem to be controller related. Did you try switching sticks at least to see? It seems unlikely both sticks would go bad at the same time. Anyway, we will miss you and maybe EA's new game will bring us all together again! |

Rd 1 +13. Fasts and v fasts throughout. First perfect on 17th which didnt help cos I overshot green pfft. Quad...treble and double didnt help and bogied last 3. One of them (18th) my golfers hand came off club it was that v fast....but didnt feel any different to my perfect a couple shots before. Not sure what I'm doing at present but just have to try. sandsaver01 |

sandsaver01A tale of two rounds. Rd 1: -1, two doubles on the back ruined a fairly efficient round Rd 2: -8, only made two pars. I've eagled the 10th both rounds, and put my tee ball in the water on 11 both rounds. Tempo was fairly good except on 11 where I had a red fast both times. I like the course a lot, but the tee shot on 18 is stupid. That tree doesn't belong.

sandsaver01RD1 -6 3 Eagles,4 pars and a lot of crazy stuff in between. Couldn't control the direction for a lot of shots, that little blue line was all over the place.

I think I left my virtual golf game in a bar somewhere...couldn't seem to get in a groove, and every time i felt comfortable I'd go out and bogey the next hole. The 7th hole is my nemesis now as I've made a triple and a double on it in 2 rounds. In round 2, I had to make a 12 footer to save the double. Not good! I'm hoping that at least my 8 birdies in round 2 shuold be helpful for best ball. Only 6 pars on the card in round 2, it was a real adventure. R1: E R2: -3 sandsaver01 |
