Anyone who has played with the new mechanics, does it affect the other shots as drastically as the driver? A second question is why did it not affect the slow swing? In real life golf, you get much more distance with a draw/hook than you do with a banana ball. I will have my opinion of the new swing mechanics later today when I play the 3rd round. |

Not had any real problem with drives. But approach shots. Hit a fast and you're left well short. Also more precision needed on the short game. Tried one flop shot. Never again!!  |

So flop shots have gone from pretty much useless to absolutely useless?

Course management will definitely be way different if instead of long left being a possibility with a fast it's all short (now the distance shown is really the longest possible carry with a perfect, with multiple ways it goes less). Haven't picked it up yet but seems like the distance penalty for a fast is even more than a slow?

So flop shots have gone from pretty much useless to absolutely useless? Didn't use them much anyway so no loss!! Might just be me. Just played next week's course with the new swing mechanics with very little issue apart from I found myself applying far more thought to my shots. Some shots I'd have taken on without a worry I'm now considering what happens if I get a red fast. A little more game management may be required. |

Chris, would you put lineups together for our team because since I see every team's ahead of time I don't want to be suspected of having an advantage.
