I'm a bit disappointed in the dictator "F you" approach. "We created the society and we're changing to pro. If you don't like it go play somewhere else?" Wow. Really, that's the approach you have toward the people that came into your society to play and help it be successful? So the only thing that matters is what you think? I run a society that is only about the people in it. Sure I created it with self interest, but I've made changes to benefit the people in it over my own needs. I was planning on staying onboard through the conversion, but now that I realize you could care less if people stay or go, not sure it's something I want to be a part of. What happens when you can't score the way you want on pro level? Then I guess Pro won't be fun so maybe you'll make a unilateral decision to turn on all the assists. You people can't get it thru your head even though we have said it a million times. ITS NOT ABOUT THE SCORE! It's about enjoying my rounds. I have 0 fun on master difficulty which is the same for the other 3 owners of the society. Fun doesn't equal scoring well. Therefore we are choosing to go to pro. I'm sorry which group am I to cater to the ones who yell the loudest or should I see that the vote currently stands 8 for pro and 3 for master. So call me whatever you like I don't care. Let me start with I understand the frustration with the status of the game. I really do. I am fine with moving to Pro. But your communication is inconsistent. You say you're an ultra competitive person (read, I want to win), but yet, it's not about the score (read, I don't care about winning). So, which is it? C'mon, it's absolutely about the score. Maybe it's not about your score compared to someone else's, but if you continue to shoot +5 or +15, I can't imagine you will claim to be having fun. And just to point out your vote count is off, unless you are counting people that replied directly to you. Since you decided not to go with the suggested poll. Where is this Vote? I can count 6 in the last two days that said they would prefer to stay Masters. Also looking at your numbers of 8 and 3, even my not so intelligent brain knows that is 10. LOL just kidding. But the point is there are 32 of us plus a couple standbys. That's basically 33% of the society. Your claim of 8 represents 25% of the society. And you mention yelling the loudest, yet your post is the one using all caps. Don't take it personal OvenLord, because it's not.

I don't understand the dictator comment Alan. I don't think it's that at all. It really sounds to me like the society administrators have listened to the overall conversation and, when also combined with their own feelings, have made a decision. Last I checked, that's probably the best way to be inclusive of everyone. Furthermore, it seems very harmless to indicate to a player that if a pro society is not wanted, there are other master societies he may play. That's not an F you approach, just reality. Just my perspective. I agree with you Jason when communicated effectively.

This change to pro comes from the talk around swing n miss, band of brothers, and our own message board here. Swing n miss is now ending from the drama, CUCC has already ended from the drama. This is by NO MEANS an ‘F You’ button. I actually find offense to that comment but I know waters are hot right now. But what I ask for you to do is look around. With so many people ready to shelf the game something has to change. I’m not asking anyone to stick around through this change if they do not want to. We just made what we felt was the best decision under the circumstances. I’d love to have everyone in society happy and involved, but in reality I struggle to get through my own rounds anymore with the changes the game has made. Everyone’s anger should be directed towards the game. If anyone feels the need to vent please reach out to me. We are very open to everyone and I personally try to make myself available at all times when free from work and life. If you plan to stay I really think you’re going to enjoy how competitive this society gets. When we started we let people bring in their groups to grow the number. Next season brings change so that we can play to have fun and be somewhat competitive. Now when I say that I mean everyone plays their own game right? We plan on sticking players across the board based on their scores and how they tend to play. It’s going to be hard with the change to pro but we are going to do our best and test courses for next season. I sincerely apologize to any of you guys that this move has pissed off. That was not the intent. I wish you all the best and hope to see everyone around because I feel we have a bond beyond the bullshit that happens on PGA 2K.

To me the game got more fun for me in the sense that I had to grind again. It was getting boring just throwing -8 to -13 unless someone turned the courses up to impossible. Having run a pro society for a short while it will inevitably happen that everyone’s score will get too good and the challenge will begin to diminish. I just like the new challenges the update brought (despite the fact that they did mess up some key short game features such as the splash shot). I just adapted my game differently and like that when I make a mistake, there is some real, round changing punishment. Maybe I’m a sucker for pain I guess.

I just wish I was able to adapt like you did. I spent numerous hours trying to develop my game to the new. Went from red fast to going for perfects and honestly wasn’t able to find my game. I tried I promise I did. Weeks after weeks, but the effort I was putting into the game just was not worth the reward to me. And I don’t feel alone in that regard. I hope for everyone to understand where both sides of the argument are coming from before we continue as a group.

To be fair Asher, I always played perfects and mastered the partial pitch so the splash is the only thing messing me up.
