The problem is the game is NOT FUN. It is a video game, people come to play a video game not “real golf”. Mario golf will be out soon for you I'm a very competitive person and I understand you enjoy the challenge of master clubs and that's awesome. However for me I work all day then have family and house and everything else. When I get to play golf I dont want to sweat my ass off just to shoot plus 5 and be miserable doing bc 2 bad holes ruined all the hard work I put in. Thats not fun. If I want to work that hard I will go play real golf. I want relaxation and to have a fun time with my friends regardless of what I shoot. Unfortunately For me and my friends that is not master as its just not fun anymore. Therefore we are going to pro. There are plenty of societies that are masters for you play.

It’s even more like golf now… hit your spots, and execute your swing. It’s a better sim than it was when red fasting was the meta to break the game. The problem is the game is NOT FUN. It is a video game, people come to play a video game not “real golf”. Not fun for some. Not everyone feels that way. I have fun EVERY time I play it. Even when I have very bad rounds. And when I do have bad rounds, it's my fault, not the games fault.

I'm a bit disappointed in the dictator "F you" approach. "We created the society and we're changing to pro. If you don't like it go play somewhere else?" Wow. Really, that's the approach you have toward the people that came into your society to play and help it be successful? So the only thing that matters is what you think? I run a society that is only about the people in it. Sure I created it with self interest, but I've made changes to benefit the people in it over my own needs. I was planning on staying onboard through the conversion, but now that I realize you could care less if people stay or go, not sure it's something I want to be a part of. What happens when you can't score the way you want on pro level? Then I guess Pro won't be fun so maybe you'll make a unilateral decision to turn on all the assists.

You people can't get it thru your head even though we have said it a million times. ITS NOT ABOUT THE SCORE! It's about enjoying my rounds. I have 0 fun on master difficulty which is the same for the other 3 owners of the society. Fun doesn't equal scoring well. Therefore we are choosing to go to pro. I'm sorry which group am I to cater to the ones who yell the loudest or should I see that the vote currently stands 8 for pro and 3 for master. So call me whatever you like I don't care.

I understand your frustrated as we all are in different ways. I have been a perfect player since day 1 as well. I suck the change sucks and I agree with Ron run its no longer golf on master. Not about landing spots or anything. Its about praying you get a perfect. We have enjoyed your presence in our society. This season will continue to be master so feel free to help your team. However all 4 admins and creators of this society all want pro so pro we go next season. It’s even more like golf now… hit your spots, and execute your swing. It’s a better sim than it was when red fasting was the meta to break the game. well sir i donno when you started play but it seems that the oldies have more problem with the tempo...perhaps our muscle memory that cant find this new tempo and if you play real golf on a high level you know that all players can hit a golf ball to the green but why compare in the end its a video game... Most ppl in here played for perfect so skip that red fasting spam ....gratz to you for finding a tempo to score but pls dont devalue others.. Have a nice day...

Awesome, so those shooting -20 now will be -35, and those shooting +10 wil be -5. It's just a slide in one direction. Anyway, I've said numerous times, I'm down with whatever, but will continue to play masters for the challenge. The swing really hasn't changed folks, just the results of a BAD one.. Where's all the folks that complained the red fast was an exploit? Now that it's not, the game is broken? Horribly exaggerated. Take a look at TGCT. All PS4/PC players continuing to hit their -10+ rounds, but the distance between PS4/PC, in comparison to Xbox has WIDENED EXPONENTIALLY. Thus, very few Xbox players compete on Tours at this time. Now let's look at scoring in Xbox master societies. The best players are currently shooting -10 or more each round in society, right now, after nerfing. Dropping to pro is not going to make them shoot -20 per round. What dropping to pro will do is bring the fun back to the game by providing a GREAT balance of scoring AND frustrating shots for MOST of the field, who can barely hit scratch golf scores currently.

The move to pro clubs next season is final. There are too many people struggling, not to compete, but to have fun. There is a difference. I can shoot -5 and have a blast. Couldn’t care less if the leaders are at -100 or beyond. This move is being made because of what the game has become. I hope to see all of you with us. For those of you that wish to continue on, there will always be a welcoming hand here for ya if you decide to come back. Next season will also see teams being separated by either a draft or a pull from a hat. Stay tuned to find out more when we come closer to the season end. That’s the Assman’s last hot take for the season. Look for me at the 19th hole after every match Very fair, and you sir, get the point of what everyone has said regarding a switch. I don't give a frogs fat butt if the leaders shoot -100. If I get any more rounds with 1 birdie, 4 bogeys and a double bogey over 18 holes, I'm going to shelve the game completely. It's not fun. There are PLENTY of ways to make pro difficulty (NOT ROBOT GOLF AT ALL ON XBOX) more difficult with society settings. No, it's NOT about practice. No, it's NOT about "just deal with it". No, it's NOT about "we're all in the same boat here". Even on Xbox, we're playing with different console versions that effect this game immensely. Heck, there's probably people using Power A controllers. Wouldn't shock me a bit. It's pure hell playing Master difficulty on an original Xbox one.

Who is shooting -10 per round on XB on Master? Unless I'm mistaken I haven't seen a -40 (through 4 rounds) by an XB TGC player post patches (CC, Kinetic, Elite, Platinum). I had -38 this week on CC, which was my best so far, and was 6 strokes clear of second. Maybe there's a couple sub -40, but not many I've seen... But anyways, I'm supportive of the move to Pro. IMO (and no offence here) the best players are still going to be the best players, regardless of the difficulty, but at least on Pro everybody can miss shots. When I compare my Pro rounds to my Master rounds right now, yes I shoot much better on Pro (here is where the average jumps to probably -12/round for me, maybe a touch better but it's hard to say because I haven't been seriously trying in any Pro societies yet), but the more important thing is I can jump on at any time and have fun, as opposed to needing to be 100% locked in with several warm-up rounds in order to actually shoot well on Master...

Because some people got accustomed to shooting ridiculous rounds and now they can't. Check out r0nrun scores in the big money society, he accidentally used pro difficulty and shot a 2 round -31. Is this what we want? Difficulty aside, nice shooting Ronny! I probably will bow out. The game isn’t that hard. Been playing for perfects since day 1. This community used to be about getting better and learning to compete. Now people are upset they can’t red fast their way around the course. Learn to play the way it was meant to be played Incorrect in so many areas.

I don't understand the dictator comment Alan. I don't think it's that at all. It really sounds to me like the society administrators have listened to the overall conversation and, when also combined with their own feelings, have made a decision. Last I checked, that's probably the best way to be inclusive of everyone. Furthermore, it seems very harmless to indicate to a player that if a pro society is not wanted, there are other master societies he may play. That's not an F you approach, just reality. Just my perspective.
