This change to pro comes from the talk around swing n miss, band of brothers, and our own message board here. Swing n miss is now ending from the drama, CUCC has already ended from the drama. This is by NO MEANS an ‘F You’ button. I actually find offense to that comment but I know waters are hot right now. But what I ask for you to do is look around. With so many people ready to shelf the game something has to change. I’m not asking anyone to stick around through this change if they do not want to. We just made what we felt was the best decision under the circumstances. I’d love to have everyone in society happy and involved, but in reality I struggle to get through my own rounds anymore with the changes the game has made. Everyone’s anger should be directed towards the game. If anyone feels the need to vent please reach out to me. We are very open to everyone and I personally try to make myself available at all times when free from work and life. If you plan to stay I really think you’re going to enjoy how competitive this society gets. When we started we let people bring in their groups to grow the number. Next season brings change so that we can play to have fun and be somewhat competitive. Now when I say that I mean everyone plays their own game right? We plan on sticking players across the board based on their scores and how they tend to play. It’s going to be hard with the change to pro but we are going to do our best and test courses for next season. I sincerely apologize to any of you guys that this move has pissed off. That was not the intent. I wish you all the best and hope to see everyone around because I feel we have a bond beyond the bullshit that happens on PGA 2K. I apologize for the F you mentality. To me the game got more fun for me in the sense that I had to grind again. It was getting boring just throwing -8 to -13 unless someone turned the courses up to impossible. Having run a pro society for a short while it will inevitably happen that everyone’s score will get too good and the challenge will begin to diminish. I just like the new challenges the update brought (despite the fact that they did mess up some key short game features such as the splash shot). I just adapted my game differently and like that when I make a mistake, there is some real, round changing punishment. Maybe I’m a sucker for pain I guess. Fair and adult like response. I think the scores won't be as low as a few people think they will be. And if so, again, there are ways to increase the difficulty on pro. Longer courses, ramp winds to high instead of the medium/low we've been playing on lately, etc. And still, you've gotta PUTT. 😁 |

It’s even more like golf now… hit your spots, and execute your swing. It’s a better sim than it was when red fasting was the meta to break the game. well sir i donno when you started play but it seems that the oldies have more problem with the tempo...perhaps our muscle memory that cant find this new tempo  and if you play real golf on a high level you know that all players can hit a golf ball to the green but why compare in the end its a video game... Most ppl in here played for perfect so skip that red fasting spam ....gratz to you for finding a tempo to score but pls dont devalue others.. Have a nice day...  I started this game on release, and started TGCTOURS on CC-I and grinded all the way to platinum… which I made after the updates. |

Really impressive as I think the console disparity is currently greater than it's ever been. Good luck on Plat, I hope you fare better than I did, although I do hope I can get my way back up there soon. |

There will be a tournament structure setup within the next few weeks if enough interest.

Just a heads up to the Race to 2K crew... Programming note. Race to 2ks own chinatown237 will be appearing in the second half of the season premiere of Holey Moley on ABC on June 17th. The current description of the episode reads "The competition -- and two contestants' love lives -- heats up on a surprisingly romantic episode." I for one am intrigued by this synopsis and hope it's something truly embarrassing. |

Awesome, so those shooting -20 now will be -35, and those shooting +10 wil be -5. It's just a slide in one direction. Anyway, I've said numerous times, I'm down with whatever, but will continue to play masters for the challenge. The swing really hasn't changed folks, just the results of a BAD one.. Where's all the folks that complained the red fast was an exploit? Now that it's not, the game is broken? Horribly exaggerated. Take a look at TGCT. All PS4/PC players continuing to hit their -10+ rounds, but the distance between PS4/PC, in comparison to Xbox has WIDENED EXPONENTIALLY. Thus, very few Xbox players compete on Tours at this time. Now let's look at scoring in Xbox master societies. The best players are currently shooting -10 or more each round in society, right now, after nerfing. Dropping to pro is not going to make them shoot -20 per round. What dropping to pro will do is bring the fun back to the game by providing a GREAT balance of scoring AND frustrating shots for MOST of the field, who can barely hit scratch golf scores currently. Well, for me personally - I'm somewhere around -3 to +8 2 round totals on these here master societies - and that's fine with me. Makes the -3 feel like I've accomplished something. I play on Pro Level in the PANDORA society - my scores there (same 2 rounds) average between -8 to -20 - AND I am by no means a top XB player - middling at best and always have.. So - yes - look at the top of the TGCT leaderboards and you'll see all the top players still scoring well.. so what. You all keep saying it's not about the scoring - but yet the 'bad rounds' and having to grind for score is not fun - you can still have fun with your buds whether you score good or bad since score doesn't matter, right ?? I'll go through the motions with y'all - as I just play to play - good or bad. But I don't get why a few bad holes all of a sudden make the game no fun.. You'll run into that on PRO too, then what?? Will it still be fun if you have a few blow up holes there ?? Bottom line - I get it - Master is harder to hit tempo, Pro is easier to hit tempo.. For ShXs and Giggles, I changed difficulty to Legendary and played a few of the official courses - best round was a -2 (E and +2 for the others) - I know - nothing to do with topic, or does it? |
