Americans kind of feel "all the same" with Canadians like that, at least here in Northern US. Grouping by languague or accent or country is general. There are good people of every culture, race, nationality and religion, just like there are bad...

I think it would be cool if those of us from the US could actually choose our State flag. But I can see how that could become confusing as I'm better at recognizing International flags than I am at recognizing State flags. Can't imagine how difficult it would be for someone not from the US to figure it all out. Texas huh? Sounds like Texas talk. Haha.....exactly what I though while reading his post.

I have nothing against Welsh, Scottish or Northern Irish people at all, but coming from the south east of England I classify myself as English more often than not. Possibly a geographical thing as I am about as far away as you can get from either of those borders. That said, we rarely compete under the British (United Kingdom) Union Jack flag - the Olympic games springs to mind as one of the only occasions. You know what they say... "British by birth. English by the grace of god"

Born Scottish lived in Scotland all my life will always be Scottish never called myself British never will. Doesn't matter what you call yourself, you're British, live with it. I'm guessing you are one of the scots who rather cleverly voted SNP and subjected us all to 5 years of Tory rule, thanks....

Whoa mate...read the entire thread before you start slinging around accusations. There are a few English people who have said that they are English and not British.
Why in the hell have you brought up politics anyway. Its the English that were strategically voting so they would not have a Labour/SNP coalition that was never going to happen anyway. If Scotland had voted Labour the Tories would still have a majority so deal with it.
Sorry to all that are outwith the UK for the bringing up of UK politics in the actual Euro Tour thread. If you want to post about politics there is a complete off-topic section you can use.

I'd read the whole thread, not one person has said they are not British except Roddy which is why I pulled him up. Acid was curious as to people's reasoning for their choice of Nationality so there was no need for the bigoted response. He also appeared to be praising multi cultural harmony, though men in dresses is as relevant to the Euro tour as politics so apologies, I will refrain....

There are at least 2 and apologies if you think I was being bigoted but I was merely stating facts and did not denounce your opinion.

No need to apologise as it was Roddy who is bigoted in his anti-British statement. I myself am English and come from England but I am also proud to be British as is the general feeling I get from the other posters. You say there are 2 but I'm pretty sure they are not denouncing their British citizenship...
