Note: It's technically possible to play this course on 187 green speeds, but unless you'd like to give your local muni a spin on 15 stimp I would never advise it. The default green speed is 154 for a reason. Welcome to the golf grounds! My entry into the WCOD competition is an homage to what has quickly become my favorite course in the world, Pacific Dunes. With a name inspired by the Native American groups that had settled the region that includes the Bandon complex and hole designs that heavily utilize my favorite Bandon features, this and its future sister course will be thrilling virtual destination venues for all who play. Honestly, I'm not much of one for write-ups, so I'll sum this course up as well as I can in just a couple of sentences. I think this course is my best set of 18 holes by a long shot and, even with a rush job by the end that led to me scrapping my original planting idea (thanks divot derby), I'm very proud of the end result and I can't wait to hear what you all have to say about it. I'll leave you off with some more pictures, as always I prefer to keep some of the best visuals under wraps in these threads, but these are no slouches either. Enjoy your round! Edit: Forgot course conditions. For summer conditions, use a strong south prevailing wind and defaults for everything else. For winter conditions, use a fairly strong northeast prevailing wind, max firmness for greens and fairways, and 144 green speeds.

In an unprecedented turn of events, I made a publishing error, though luckily it was this thread and not the course. Updated OP with prevailing winds/conditions.

As Someone who has been to Coos Bay in Oregon, really wouldnt recommend going there, Just loggers and meth and that's about it. (Bandon was about the same before the courses showed up). Didnt realize Jives wanted to revitalize another Oregon coastal town

Very cool entry. Loved the openness and sometimes barren look, which doesn’t normally render very well. Course played well and those greens were nutty af. Can easily see why some (many) shouldn’t be kicked up past default. Definitely some scores to be had if you play it right and some big scores if you don’t. Great job and good luck with the competition

Loved this from start to finish - hilarious greens and some really cool inland areas. A great final entry!

But I digress, very nice course all in all. Good job!

Wel boy howdy that’s an entertaining round of golf. Had a great time and can see myself heading back here often. I have no idea how it will do from a contest standpoint but it scratched my itchy bits for sure. Always have enjoyed your imagination. More greens like these thanks

Great final publish in the contest.
I guess the biggest compliment I can pay is to say that I immediately felt a desire to give this a 2nd spin after my first. That'll have to wait but I'll be back soon to give another pin a go and see if I can go a few strokes better next time.
