Note: It's technically possible to play this course on 187 green speeds, but unless you'd like to give your local muni a spin on 15 stimp I would never advise it. The default green speed is 154 for a reason.
Welcome to the golf grounds! My entry into the WCOD competition is an homage to what has quickly become my favorite course in the world, Pacific Dunes. With a name inspired by the Native American groups that had settled the region that includes the Bandon complex and hole designs that heavily utilize my favorite Bandon features, this and its future sister course will be thrilling virtual destination venues for all who play.
Honestly, I'm not much of one for write-ups, so I'll sum this course up as well as I can in just a couple of sentences. I think this course is my best set of 18 holes by a long shot and, even with a rush job by the end that led to me scrapping my original planting idea (thanks divot derby), I'm very proud of the end result and I can't wait to hear what you all have to say about it.
I'll leave you off with some more pictures, as always I prefer to keep some of the best visuals under wraps in these threads, but these are no slouches either. Enjoy your round!
Edit: Forgot course conditions.
For summer conditions, use a strong south prevailing wind and defaults for everything else.
For winter conditions, use a fairly strong northeast prevailing wind, max firmness for greens and fairways, and 144 green speeds.
