Week 26 we head to Carin Dun by graemevood, a great links course that should be a fun test for us. I loved the setting and the feel of the place when I first went around it, so we immediately scheduled it for the tour. Hope you all have fun out there. From the designer: Cairn Dun, set in the Scottish highlands in the remote town of Cairn. A championship layout with stunning coastal views make for an unforgettable experience as the course winds its way through the dunes, by the sea and through the town of Cairn. A great mix of challenging holes, although some par 5 holes are short don’t expect an easy birdie on these greens. With the wind blowing the course can play totally different day by day. The course has 3 tee sets and 4 pin locations with tour events in mind.

Went through all 4 rounds already. -9, -6, -6, -13 for a total of -34
Putter got ice cold in rounds 2 and 3 and then came to life in round 4.
-34 has been good enough for a promo mark most weeks. Hoping that is true for this week, it would be my first one in Elite!

jwtexan When scheduling and setting up next week at Marquesas Bay....please take into consideration that under default time of day the course is VERY dark. Looks pretty good if you use NOON for all 4 rounds Just thought I'd give you the heads up

Here is a promise I will make to you for as long as I’m scheduling rounds with Curtis—There will be no noon lighting. Morning? Sure. Afternoon? Great. But noon, never.
I lean to defaults for at least two rounds, sometimes more, when it comes to lighting. Designers spent dozens, sometimes hundreds of hours to the look they give and ill respect it.
Sometimes it’s cloudy. Sometimes it makes a hole or two directly into the sun. But for the most part I’m going to trust them and play it as is.

65-62-68-59 for -34
Probably just outside the promo marks if I had to guess at this point. Enjoyed the course, but left a lot of shots out there - especially the last 12 holes or so on R3, where I apparently forgot how to putt at all. But I think the 59 in R4 is the best I've put up in competition, so happy with that!
Oh, that and that damn bunker left of the 18th fairway. Sure didn't look that deep when I was in it, but my long iron caught the lip and stayed in. Grrr.

I'm having trouble putting 4 rounds together. Trend of 36 great holes and 36 meh holes continues this week - fortunately it was the first 36 where I played well so at least I'll get paid. Unfortunately, it's going to be a hard fall once the last 2 rounds are revealed!

-14 at the cut which looks like its gonna make it. I've made most cuts for the last two months or so but absolutely tank the last 36 holes, hopefully I break the trend this week.
