Just played and actually enjoyed the greens and approach looks a good bit. Not my favorite style of course but that’s personal opinion. I think with a good setup could play quite well on tour. I wouldn't say Ohoopee-style is my favourite either, but really enjoyed it as well. Tons to like here - honestly couldn't find much to fault on any of my playthroughs. Well worded from you as well - clearly not a rubbish course.

I agree with the OP, this one should’ve never been scheduled.

Are any next gen or PC users having frame rate issues? The course is fine on my PS5. I could see it being a nightmare on PS4 but as far as design it’s not even close to the worst ones I’ve played overall and it’s solidly average from a design standpoint as far as I’ve played in 2 years on Plat.

Yeah first time I played it, I was saying wtf thru all 18 holes. But on second run, I already liked it alot. It's visually horrible with all that sand everywhere, but it's a good golf test with the right winds

Late to the party, but oughta put this out there.
You’re in a tour that is scheduled by one of the best designers in the community, on a course designed by a previous design contest winner which happened to have been an entry into the most recent design contest.
The design community provides more course content for 2K21 in a single design contest than HB will in this entire cycle; in fact, the majority of 2K21’s official courses are fictional courses made by the community. Most courses worthy of being scheduled require dozens to hundreds of hours of free time per course and the tournaments that host them require a similar amount of coordination and effort from designers, rangers, schedulers, and admins.
Step back and consider what gives you the right to totally reject that amount of hard work. If you simply don’t like playing the course or its style, then fair enough. If you believe you can do so because you maybe (probably) (definitely) played it exactly once and probably devoted 45 minutes of your time to it at most or believe you’re justified because of your ability in a completely different section of our game and community, you’re at best willfully ignorant of everything we need to run our community successfully and at worst completely and totally disrespectful of everyone who volunteers their free time to provide content for you.
You are speaking over all those that have allowed the site and the game series itself to become as successful as they have become. You are biting the hand that feeds you while pretending that you can feed yourself.

you say 187s make it unplayable and you're right. Notice that the weather forecast explicitly says the greens arent going over default speeds this week. Huh...

Decided to go right off the bat this week. Was waiting after 7 for the tourny to start. Played my best plat round ever. -13 to start. Let's wait for round 2, it's low wind and somehow, I kinda lost my distances lately with low winds as I don't see this anymore in societies I play. Good excuse to practice it

I tried playing round 1 early and off stream to try to break a cold run I've been on. -14 and a 56 ties my personal best score on platinum - just takes one good round to get excited about the game again! I am no design guru, but for what it's worth I thought the course had a good layout, forcing a lot of accurate approaches with the green contours. Usually a red faster on 80%+ of my approaches, the need for accuracy forced me to go for a lot of perfects which seemed to pay off.

There is no lag on this course on PC so I will take your word for it. That’s unfortunate but you simply wouldn’t know and you’d need to question rangers rather than attacking the course or the designer. Where to start with the other critiques? Saying that you being good at playing the game means you know when a course is good or not is a fallacy. Beyond lag, which I can accept, even though it’s not on the designer, you still haven’t given any examples of what constitutes bad design or a poor course. Oh, apart from ‘sand everywhere’ which is a style choice. Are any of those bunkers placed unfairly? Any comment on strategy or are you just going on personal preference? If so, calling the course garbage is still your opinion but you haven’t backed it up. You not liking it does not mean it is a bad course. what tour are u even on? Cc what? My opinion is my opinion. U are entitled to yours. I'm going PS4 game play. Not pc. Youre talking to a designer that has designed a good portion of the courses you play. I don’t know what courses are on Platinum and what are on lower but I bet b101 is up there with other designers on courses on that level and know he’s one of the top in TGC tours period.

Shame 187s aren’t being played. Course is definitely playable with them imo. I don’t think we’ve had >163 for ages and it’s kinda crazy considering this is Platinum. Bring back some fear on the greens.

Rounds 1 and 3 greens are 178 Excellent Possibly 4 as well. I’m currently putting for birdie on 15 in round 3. Maybe I should focus on the game itself more
