Beyond Season TwoGiven the upheaval in the world of TGCT that currently exists, I see a familiar situation. For probably the third time in the last nine months or so, a new season beckons with the play experience of participants widely dispersed. For some the changes have been little more than a minor bump in the road and for others they have been sucking the life out of the game. I appreciate that those who are struggling have restricted their thoughts to other more suitable threads on the forum but I am acutely aware that life in the pixel golf garden is not rosy for several members. I propose that we delay the start of season three for a week until Sunday 30th May to give an opportunity for some people to work through the current set of demons presented by the game, find alternative strategies and search for a bit of tempo. I have been enjoying exploring the world of pitches which I previously avoided like the plague and the joy of chipping. I would also add that if people want to use this time to download scripts to set unnatural poll points (whatever the f**k they are) or indulge in recalibration to achieve the same effect the please help yourself to one of the pearl handled revolvers on the table over there, go into the next room and do the decent thing. I am also not looking to expand our numbers currently. Changes to the size of the Premier Division would render this week null and void so it will be two divisions of ten when we reconvene. There are some who have been voting with their feet recently and I think twenty players will be about right, even though the engravers are practicing the spelling of Juventus as I write. sid snott I have replaced QPR with the Miserable Fifers and you are leading 2-1 going into the final period. I am happy to set up another round of friendlies. Frans offered to set up a cup competition for this week but I feel that given the disparity of performances that might not be the best thing. A week is a long time in Pixel Golf and just a little bit of practice combined with a couple of fresh approaches to the game have worked wonders for me, also accepting that there will be inexplicable results from seemingly similar shots so perhaps taking some more conservative lines. Anybody not seeing light at the end of the tunnel please speak up.

Herne Bay started the match against QPR , but they had to leave early as their coach driver was worried about getting stuck in the M25 car park. As East Fife were at loose end they just popped down to finish the match.
For the first 12 minutes of the second half Herne Bay were all over the Fife goal (-6) then for the next 12 minutes it was East Fife turn to be on the attack as the Bay turned ,-6 into -3 for Rd 3

First off, don't get ahead of yourself and etch our name into any trophy just yet, we aren't the Juventus of old anymore lol As far as this coming week, I'm totally fine with another round of friendlies but the cup also sounds intriguing. Although I definitely understand people probably still want more of an adjustment/practice period so I'll roll with whatever. Lastly, what are those "scripts" you speak of? Haven't heard about that previously. |

I’m playing anyway for CC and it would be nice to have a bit of extra oomph to the rounds. CC I’m not overly fussed about, Pixel Golf Football is where it’s at ⚽️ 🥅 #PUSB |

I too have been exploring the world of partial pitches. It's an intriguing world and I think one we were supposed to be visiting in the first place but the splash world was so easy and inviting that we all chose that one. I've always chipped when I've had the chance as I always felt I had more chance of holing out so at least I haven't had to learn that. But I think these pitches have legs. Getting plenty of practice being as I'm constantly 30/40 yards short of the green!

Okay, okay, while we allow Greg a well-deserved week off, we might as well have some fun while we all adjust to the no red fasts but downloadable calibrations polling points era...  So, I give you the inaugural Pixel Golf Polling Points Cup (the PGPP Cup)!!! I'm going to assume that honeybadger64 SkyBlueBen fransslabak Giraffe72 Celtic Wolf sid snott Art Vandelay rob4590 crushtastic up mup kupen nup cassinochips LEFTY79 jason755 avjpfc Tombanator mbuenger statelyowl FutureBuckeye11 Riotous and xcltaff1980 are all in and willing to give this a go; if not, let me know (or don't play and thereby hand your opponent(s) a bye). RULES: - Match play and no score adjustments because this is the cup - anybody can beat anybody in one game and you need a bit of luck with the draw... the latter has been based on simply assigning ranks to the teams based on Greg's latest list of players.
- I need you to post your scorecard for each round; either by actually inserting your screenshot in your post or simply typing out the scores per hole.
- DEADLINES apply: first round needs to be in by the end of Tuesday wherever you live - second round by the end of Thursday wherever you live - third round by the end of Friday wherever you live - fourth round by the end of Saturday (obviously) wherever you live
- Given that we start with 20 team, some first rounds are threesomes
- In case of a tie, the team that has won the last point wins the match
