Is it advisable to add the following to one's course overview when submitting? --- "If you find yourself hitting a blind shot, you best be damn well certain I meant it that way!" I have several shots where, if you challenge the hazard you have clear sight and a good angle to the green, but if you bail out or choose the safer option you could end up w/ a blind approach on a less than optimal angle... I don't want to get dinged for 'unintentional blindness'. I've been very deliberate with were a player is blind. I'm going to assume that, with a what seems to be an incredibly experienced judging pool, they'll know the difference between intentional and unintentional blindness when they see it. Just my 0.02. Was mostly just joking... BUT, after the sandbelt disaster 🤣 #justice! |

How blind does blind have to be for a tee shot to count as fulfilling the requirement?

How blind does blind have to be for a tee shot to count as fulfilling the requirement? Generally if u cant see the intended landing zone or fairway from the tee its considered blind.. |

Haven't been on the forums much lately but I have been hard at work on my cc course, got a little more polishing to finish up but should be done in a week or so. Figured I'd check in see how everyone is doing as we get closer to the publish window, cant wait to see all the amazing courses that come out of this one. Good luck everyone.
Sidenote: any chane of moving up the publish window? Hate sitting on a finished course lol..

I know that much, but does it have to be completely blind? If you can see one half of the fairway but not the other, and the blind shot is the superior but riskier path..? |

boynsy I would call that partially blind but I'm also not a judge lol.. not sure if it would/wouldnt qualify as a requirement..

I have one hole left to surface. Need to do tee boxes and scult bunkers better. Have done about third if planting which is unusual for me as I normally leave it to the end.
Ben's template videos inspired me to get back designing and even though I haven't really followed the principles it did give me motivation to do more designing.
I have a second course on the plot which has a couple of holes that will be seen in background but not going to make that whole course yet.

Just because the window is opening early doesn't mean you're required to publish early, take your time. It just means people don't have to sit on courses and I can spread out the playthrough videos a little bit.

Matt I have a question. If I plan on using the rest of the plot for another course but haven't done the surfaces or anything for it yet and thus no planting. Will I be penalised for not doing background planting if I specify why?
