Matt, is there going to be seperate threads for the various groups so we can all play mind games with each other without distracting any other groups? Btw, for anyone interested the basic layout I have done without looking at criteria has about 10 different ones I can choose from. Not bad for just stuffing around on Friday evening. We need smack talk threads.

Matt could barely organise a random wheel and you're expecting separate group threads?

If you guys wanted threads for sharing WIPs and other general shenanigans, I am happy to do so.

Inspiration video for my course idea: Im abandoning this idea. Doesn't translate as well in the game.

mattf27 A couple questions for a noob (maybe helps others too who knows): 1) Can different required elements be used on the same hole? -- specifically, "At least two holes with zero bunkers" and "At least one par 3 greater than 230 yards" - I get that some of the more generic ones obv seem to work together. Like, having a driveable par 4 also be a par 4 under 400 yds when tallying up that element, but didn't know if my first example would work. 2) I've seen WIP threads already cropping up, but when we do publish, do we @ you here? And can we also create a thread in completed courses forum using (CC) as a denotation? I've seen a couple there for World Cup and such, so just wondering if that's where we also submit as well. Thanks, and apologize for my ignorance. I know I've already asked a couple, but want to make sure I have the go ahead before doing anything random.

Two questions mattf271) Will we have a set weather to design to? 2) What constitutes a driveable par-4? Does it have to be reachable with all clubs and weather conditions? A good drivable par 4 is anywhere from 285-300 yds

A good drivable par 4 is anywhere from 285-300 yds Tbh, can push further depending on driver carry and roll - could be shorter or up to about 340 in this game. Having seen a lot of guys attempt the driveable four in Dream Team, I’d say the main thing to bear in mind is that driver shouldn’t always be the play and there should be genuine punishment for missing your spot. A driveable par four where missing the green always leaves an easy up and down is a bit dull. Add to that that this contest is for CC and it’s actually a really tricky element.

There are also 240 yd par 3s I usually like to stay between 265-305 when I build cause usually depending on wind it will always be drivable but like Ben said with building a drivable 4 it’s not about the length it’s more about how the green site sits and depending on pin set the drivable 4 probably isn’t worth the risk but it you hit the money shot in then you get rewarded

Augusta bunker challenge (no more than 22 bunkers on the course)
I count 44 bunkers at Augusta. 😬 Is there an inside joke I'm missing? 😁
