I'm getting some concerns about how courses are placing, so I figure I can pass along a little information on how the scoring was done. Top 24 courses were broken up into 3 groups of 8, with judges only doing one group. Since there's no real direct way to rank them, I just listed 8th in each group, then 7th, then 6th, etc, using raw judging scores as a tiebreaker. This will mean that there might be a little shuffling of rankings (Redtail being an interesting outlier I can break down in the future), but ultimately I figured that getting the results out in a reasonable amount of time was probably more important than worrying about each individual position. Every judge will have rankings for the top 6 courses though. So is this just the results of only the ones that made it out of the first round? Any way to include those who did make it out just to show how we might have faired if it was one group? |

Well this was my first contest entry and I'm very happy getting 12th with Tierra Dorada. Thanks to all the judges for the hard work! I appreciate everyone for any feedback they have given me and good luck to the remaining designers! mattf27 thanks for everything you do for this community! |

Big congrats to mattyfromcanada - a great course and well deserved. Quick shoutout to some other contestants as well.... mjm7012 - Crazy good for your first official contest. Look forward to playing everything you put out from now on. I'm not sure if you're in the rookie contest but an early favorite if you're entering imo. SindreRev - Feel like you possibly might have been a victim of your own quality after Harrier Creek. Had yours right up there. Please don't stop pumping these great contest courses out - I love them. nitro22 - Only played yours the once but thought it might win tbh. Best greens in the contest for mine and the course was super fun. Thanks to mattf27 in particular. Ridiculously big job running this basically on your own other than the judging.
