Thanks now I'm gonna have nightmares for the rest of the month about how long those retaining walls must have taken

I can definitely see the Dye influence! Looks good man I’m going to give this one a go tonight.

Looks great! I like the planting along the waterways, looks realistic and very nice! Will give this one a play in the morning.

Looks nice! The sandbars are an interesting twist to spice up the water - will definitely give it a play. It has a nice dose of Tidewater in Myrtle Beach, too.

Thanks guys, hope you enjoy it. Don't mind the missing bridge over the small waterway on hole 15 lol. Ooops!

Enjoyed the course. I could definitely see the Pete Dye influence on many of the holes. My favorite hole was #13. Excellent risk/reward off the tee and good execution of a double dogleg (not the easiest thing to pull off!). I honestly wouldn’t have even noticed that 15 was missing a bridge if you hadn’t mentioned it lol 😂! Valiant attempt on the retaining walls! I’m sure they took a minute or two! If I could offer you a tip there, don’t make them so high next time. They are pretty well done for the height of them but the way the game handles steep elevation change made the sculpting around them a bit on the rough side. Lower retaining walls will allow you to make smoother transitions between wall and ground. I loved the shapes and design of the Dye “strip bunkers” but thought they could have been sculpted a little better. They weren’t bad but they were a bit “bath-tubby”. If you haven’t seen it yet, b101 has a great tutorial on how to make flat bottom bunkers that I think could really help you on future attempts at the Dye style strip bunkers. All in all though, great course! Good job at finding a nice balance between playability and challenge 👍🏻. I’m excited to see what you come up with on future projects 😁!

Thanks, yea I tired to get the flat style bunkers but still struggle with the sculpting tools. Do you have a link to his tutorial. Also good advice on the retaining walls, haven’t thought of that. With the retaining walls how do some people get the then to change heights so smoothly sometimes? VctryLnSports does this and the retaining walls are pristine.

Definitely hit the low country vibe. Aside from comments above about a few bath tubby bunkers and the retaining wall, the only thing I would add from a critique standpoint is the planting on 16 was a bit tall. Especially in front of the tee, it completely obscured the fairway. It was really well done from a visual perspective, but it needed to be lower. The course played tough but fair and my execution definitely showed what happens when you hit like ass. Nice job.

tgctours.proboards.com/thread/22247/youtube-design-tutorialsThe above URL will take you to the thread where pretty much all of the worthwhile tutorials are listed. mayday91283 has a great tutorial regarding “advanced” retaining wall stuff that I think you could really benefit from as he might be the best in the game at creating the varied-height retaining walls. The flat-bottom bunker tutorial is in b101’s “quick tips”. Hope they help!

I think I have seen mayday's tutorial before on using the bridges and that's why I use them, however after re-watching just realized how he puts the bridges down first advance edits them and then goes and puts the actual retaining wall in.
