Ah yes, meant to mention that my remaining playthroughs are all done and I'll keep releasing them daily - I think that leaves Q to bring us home on Thursday and here I was hoping you forgot lol. It's weird because it's hard to look at the 6 hole version now that I've worked so hard to improve it with a later iteration. I know it's still decent but I cant personally stand to see it Definitely caught a few things you changed, but I tried not to comment on them too much and view it just as the six hole version we had. It's a good course though, don't worry - 4th placed shows that

Great first contest! Feel like there were many deserving courses but appreciate all the positive feedback. As many have said, the support and feedback in this group is incredible as someone newer to the design community.
Best of luck in contest #2!

Great stuff everyone! Huge field and some really tough choices for the judges, and I’m happy to have received a Top 10 on my first publish with so many solid designs! But more importantly, I’m happy to have received valuable feedback and learned a ton from all of the content by b101, Wayne, and matty - really awesome to set aside the time to give each design a thorough playthrough with honest and helpful critique. I learned a toooon. And had fun! I had fun with this comp, and am looking forward to the next one!
Thanks again to all the judges, and congrats to all the top finishers and everyone who participated!

Wow, what an honour to place 2nd! Glad the judges enjoyed the loop... had a blast designing it. Thanks to b101 and WhatAboutAmeobi for the playthroughs and of course mattyfromcanada for setting up an awesome challenge. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to participate in the second challenge, but good luck to everyone taking part! Already looking forward to the third challenge.

Congratulations to all the points scorers - and thanks again to everyone who did play throughs, the feedback I got and the stuff I learned turned my DL 2.1 course from a crappy Mad Max Wasteland into a respectable course by the time of release.

For a little six hole course, you nailed that tight look you were going for - I don't have any shame in losing out to that course at all. (Still delighted with top 10 . ) Makes me incredibly excited for where you will go next with your designs. Congrats to the top five, the rest of the top 10 and all the other participants - great work guys!!

I don't have the chops to pull off bunkerless at all, on switch no less! Very impressed. Looking forward to seeing you back in round 3 (assuming I haven't missed a post where you hopped back in contest 2??)

I considered doing number 2, but I'm a long way behind on national treasure so I'm gonna leave It until number 3.

Sorry for the randomness, figured it was a great place to start. Have a project I'm working on and have seen that extended fringe on some courses, does anyone know if someone did a tutorial on it??

Haven’t seen a tutorial on it but you make the fringe the maximum size spline the green as normal then spline around that green wherever you want the extended fringe and don’t fill. Make sure the spline widths overlap but aren’t too wide or you’ll get pockets of green. You can also use shrunk brushes as wel but those are easier to get pockets of green to pop up.
