Love the course, my only issue is its quite punishing for a lower level CC player like myself . The fairways are plenty wide but when combined with all of the water, one poor drive landing a foot or less in the rough turns the longer par 4s into par 5s. And this is again is a me problem, but when my swing gets isn't feeling great, there were approach shots I simply couldn't go for and had to bail out and hope to scramble for pars.I love Ben's courses and I'm sure choosing courses for CC-A down to CC-L is never a one size fits all scenario, it just seems a rough go for players who struggle to break par on off swing days. But even on a good week if I hit 4 balls in the water in the first two rounds, theres no way I' making a the cut, on course like this, it ends my week pretty quick. Tbh that's totally fair. There are certainly some where it's a case of 'it's a long four and you just have to hit the fairway or you're hacking out' - I think 10 is the best example of that. Personally, I'd probably put the challenge off the tee at the high end of CC, potentially Kinetic level and the putting at bottom of CC. Designing for this difficulty is certainly not my strength so it's good to get feedback also something we discussed at length about whether this would even work on a large ability tour like CC...

About gave myself a heart attack in round 1 on hole 4
Shot really well overall in both rounds 1 and 2, shooting -9 each round. This course just lends so well to my style of play. Good stuff as always Ben.

-9/-3/-4/-6
-22 Total
Great first round ending up T1, The 7th hole in the second round destroyed all hopes with three water balls and a 10 for the hole. Hard to mentally come back from that but I tried.

If I could have kept the ball out of the water this week I would be a shoe in for a top 10 in B.
-7 -6 -8 -11
-32 for the tourney. Other than a few missed birdies and the few water shots which I was trying to avoid.
Nerves definitely got the best of me in round one and two but I calmed down as the tourney went on. Really enjoyed this course.
I had to cram all these rounds in today because Im getting married Saturday and my flight leaves for Vegas on Friday.
With all that's going on right now I'm pretty happy with this weeks outcome and hopefully I can squeeze another promo mark in and be one step closer to CC-A.

-19 through two in CC-B, third round coming up today, hopefully I can continue in the same vein. I had an albatross on the 6th in the second round after hitting a driver from the fairway, that'll probably be the highlight of the week for me.

-10 through 2 in CC-D. Had a -9 in round 1 and I followed that up with what felt like my worst ever round of TGCTours golf with a -1 in round 2. Hit the water 3 times on the front 9 for 2 bogies and a double, and had a couple of bogeys on the back 9 after bad driving left me with no chance to par. Will make the cut easily, hopefully can push into the top 25 in my final 2 rounds but a little frustrating as I felt I could have been around -20 if I had found my tempo off the tee.
Great course though, it's a great challenge which presents great scoring chances if you hit fairways, especially the back 9 which feels like if you get into a rhythm there you can get a bunch of birdies. Just a shame I played it like an idiot in round 2, ha!

Wasted two decent first rounds with a +2 in R3 to probably remove any chances of a Top-25. But I found the fairway on the fifth this time!

This round. This goddamned round. My putting problems were gone. I hit the putts straight and where I wanted them. Got five birds in the process. But now I was yanking driver and approaches everywhere. On the driveable 13th I pushed and slowed it so that it flew left, bounced off a cart path, over the 14th tee and into the ocean. Got a double out of that one. On the 15th I red fasted my approach into the ocean, dropped on a cliff and stuck the approach within two inches of the cup for a par. Had two lip-outs that could have been HIOs on par-3's. Unbelievable. What a game. I literally played this round like prime Tiger at times and like the real life me at times. -1 in R4 to come home at -5. Have to do better. Edit: Hey b101 you might want to prop up a wire fence by the 14th tee to keep people out of harms way.

Beautiful course b101 Very risky some holes and a nice suntan whilst hacking is welcomed. The best course I have played on CC since Georgia Match Club.

After the debacle in the last tourney with straight putts going wide right I had to get a new controller. What a difference and I wish I stopped in the middle of the last tourney in Rd 2 to make the change but I wasn’t sure until more missed putts that were straight.
The putting has been much better with a decent 68 in Rd 1 and I started out on fire in Rd 2 with birdies on the first 3 of 4 holes. The round felt like a low 60 rd until I lost the feel of my driver and started to send them into the sand. The Par 5 #6 I sent my drive into the bunker. I’m left with around 226 and decided to use my 3 and I then send it into the greenside bunker. I overcook my splash and put it close the back fringe for 10-12 footer. The putt was straight and I pulled it snd settled for a bogie.
On #7 I send my drive into the fairway bunker with another piss poor drive. I’m in the sand with lie % at 80%. I’m about 49 yrds away and the caddie tells me 7 pitch. I red fasted it to make sure to get out and the damn ball goes into the water. I sent my drop about 18 feet away for the bogie attempt. I was pissed with losing a ball in the water thst wasn’t even close had to get up and get a fresh cup of coffee and then drilled my putt for the bogie.
I finish the front 9 with a 35 and a commutative total of -5. I start my back 9 with 2 straight birdies but the putts were lip arounds but successful. I was shaking with the putter now as those putts were simple and I couldn’t blame the controller this time around. I get another bird and then get a bogie with another poor putt and hold it together to finish the back with -2.
So far
Rd 1 68(-3) 2 terrible doubles mixed in with an eagle and 5 birdies in the round
Rd 2 67(-4) I have to get better with the easy putts and putt the nerves away, no pun intended.
-7 in my CC-H and waiting for the low wind and the very fast greens in Rd 3.
Good luck to all as well.

Finished with a -8 which could have been much better if not for a bogey and triple bogey on the front 9, the latter courtesy of putting two in the water 😡
Ended up -35 for the tournament, much better than last week's missed cut.

I personally feel this course is relaxing. No elevation changes. Yes there is water but last week was tougher from tee to green IMO...... The slope of the greens and elevation changes on your journey to the greens can damage a scorecard fast. Wind on a flat course doesn’t really hurt me as much than wind on a course with elevation changes. I absolutely love the design. Great job by the designer! Challenging but fair on the greens.

Damn man, call me Mr. Second Half since that is the only time I seem to be able to play really well. Barely going to miss on a promo mark in CC-H after for the second straight week having fought back from near the bottom of the cut line. Imagine struggling through 2, almost 3 rounds, and then the last one with wind conditions that are just begging for tons of water balls goes almost perfectly... what is wrong with me? The course was a fun challenge this week, made me think way more than I usually do!
Had an excellent putting showcase this week, averaged 1.25 through 4 rounds! By far the best I've ever been at that! E, -1, -4, -6 = -11.

Finished with 12 bogies and 2 doubles which I feel is just about more then I've hit in all my tournaments this season combined haha. I guess I can take comfort from the fact if I had played a bit better I would have easily been in the top 25, onto next week.
