Round 1 Rovers 1st game this season started off with then taking a slight diversion to Coventry via the Slough train for the majority of the journey with the occasional change to the fast train. A up and down start to the game lead to chances but also some defensive errors and hic-cups were letting Coventry find their feet. R1 score - 73 (+1) Meaning Coventry leading 1-0 halfway through the 1st half That cheered me up on a Lockdown, working from home Monday, especially as it would really work in a West Midlands accent.

Round 2 -1
The team started a good passage of play after going one down but a couple of slack passes and it fizzles out. Some great solo play by Rogic has Celtic on the cusp of equalizing but he ends up stepping on the ball in the 18 yard box. From his error Orlando regain possession and hit on the counter to go 2 up at half time.
Two birdies and two bogies on the front 9, then a run of 3 birdies followed by a double, a bogey then birdie on the 16th.

Players enjoyed themselves more in the bath than on the pitch. Complete and utter meltdown. Round 4 +5
(That's 2 weeks running I've screwed up Round 4, back to playing all 4 on a Sunday I think).

Pixel Golf FootballSkyBlueBen, fransslabak, Giraffe72, Celtic Wolf, sid snott, Art Vandelay, thetaffman, rob4590, crushtastic, up mup kupen nup, cassinochips, LEFTY79, jason755, xboxjonnyuk, avjpfcWelcome to the thread for the foolhardy football fan pixel golfers who embark on the opening season of our league. A two-tier cup competition with qualifying groups starting on Sunday during the Challenge Circuit tournament at Gator Creek. All will be playing as teams close to their heart with each of the four rounds counting towards a goal in the overall match score each week. Progress is recorded on the League Scoresheet and here will be the home for good-natured banter surrounding the competition and football in general. Teams as varied as Herne Bay FC, Ajax, East Fife, Orlando Pirates, Celtic and Cassino Calcio will be fighting out against Premier League titans such as Liverpool, Man United, Spurs, West 'Am and Villa. The less fashionable sides like Burton, Coventry, Tranmere and Bristol City will also feature and of course Kevin has a team that I can't spell and nobody has ever heard of. Small boys in the park....jumpers for goal posts.....let's get it on!!

Round 2 - 71 (-1)
Tranmere continued to attack in the 1st half and had several goal-line clearances from Coventry's defence, who were playing a blinder in this 1st half.
A counter attack towards the end of the half got Coventry it's second goal of the game and take a 2-0 lead into the break.

The Azzurri come out of the locker room hot, pushing the tempo and hoping to catch the heavily-favored Dudelange side by surprise. Every available amount of space sees a blue jersey buzz through it, and even the slightest glance at the frame portends a whistling dart launched in the vague direction of the net. Can the boys in blue get one to stick early, and maybe get Dudelange playing on the back foot? ((R1: 65)) Calcio attempts to keep applying pressure, but it looks like the double shifts at the Fiat plant on match week were a less than stellar idea, as there is a clear opportunity for a counter for Dudelange. ((R2: 68))

The good folk of Methil have clubbed together to fund an open-topped bus and the £10,000 fine for breaking lockdown restrictions. It looks like for the first time since before Christmas, this sorry pixel golfer might make the cut. They'll be dancing in the streets of Buckhaven tonight!

Evens makes the cut there. You could party every week. BTW can't believe you'd get £10k out of Scots folk...and they're likely to have stolen the bus, keep an eye out for OB....they may be trying to blend into the party...

After a shaky start, and a couple of dodgy VAR decisions, the Reds started playing ok. A brilliant defensive effort by Fabinho led to a fine play up the middle which led to Liverpool's opening goal for Salah. (-6) Later in the half, the lads played exceptional football which led to Bobby opening his account with a scorcher from outside the 18. (-10) Sadly, when the players came out for the 2nd half, Liverpool forgot how to play. Sebastian Haller ran rampant, tearing the Liverpool defence apart. After his screamer found the top corner, the game was poised... At 1-2 (+1) Shortly after, the sat connection was lost and a snowstorm came over the arena. The referees had no choice but to halt the game as they wait for this weather to clear. Play will, hopefully resume shortly.

Mockery of a sham of a trial of showpiece of a circus. Can't pass, can't shoot, look like a pub team after a heavy Saturday night. 75 and 77 to miss the cut by miles and go 2-0 down at the half in my Anglo-Scottish tie. Really delighted I have to now play two more rounds! 🤣
Honestly, that was no fun.
