Week Five Round UpThe names of the competition took on greater significance this week. xboxjonnyuk succumbed to the virus and had to pull out of his match with Celtic Wolf . A couple of weeks ago I played whilst afflicted and would say John made the right decision, it's only pixel golf after all. Tranmere also got lost and I hope thetaffman is not similarly stricken. Covid Champions Leaguerob4590 continued his great consistent play but brought the best out of fransslabak who needed to be on top form to snatch a draw, the first points West Ham have dropped this season. Running repairs to his laptop saw avjpfc guide his beloved Villa to an impressive win against Burton Albion in a Midlands derby, this also brought an end to LEFTY79 's unbeaten run. He will have a chance to go above the Hammers, if he can do what nobody else has, and win at the Boleyn Ground. Ajax and Villa meet in Amsterdam where a win for the Brummies could yet see them top the table, although that is beyond the Dutchmen. Group B saw wins for Liverpool against arch rivals Man United and Orlando cruised past Cassino Calcio, which was the first time the Italians have not topped their group this season. The group will be decided if either crushtastic or Art Vandelay can will in the big match at Anfield. If they draw, there is still the chance for cassinochips to sneak back to the top, providing the Azzuri can get a result at the Theatre of Dreams. No doubt jason755 will be pulling out all the stops to prevent this. If The Azzuri can win at Anfield they could still sneak back to the top as long as they get a favour from jason755 who's Man United host Art Vandelay 's Orlando Pirates. A win for the African powerhouse could be enough if crushtastic is off his game in Liverpool. Lockdown CupScotland sees the match which should decide Group A. Celtic host lowly East Fife with the top spot the likely reward for the winner. A draw could see Tottenham overtake them, subject to medical improvements and a win at home against Tranmere. Although the Wirral side can't win the group they could yet have a big say in the final standings. Group B has a winner takes all tie at St Andrews (all this week's matches are hosted at the largest home stadium). F91 Diddeleng are no doubt still a little miffed to be scrapping it out for the minor places and will start firm favourites with the very strong up mup kupen nup at the helm. The plucky Midlanders have a chunky 6 shots a round help. I would expect the Luxembourgers to go very low this week but the course will give SkyBlueBen a chance. Bristol City host Herne Bay with only really pride to play for. Both Giraffe72 and sid snott have struggled this season but at least one of them is guaranteed points this week. The course for this week looks like it will offer birdies and eagles by the bucket load. There are also a few chances to blot your copybook as I can attest from my first round. Four birdies, an eagle and a bogey saw me turn five under. Bogey, birdie, birdie then six straight pars saw a distinctly mediocre 64 (-7) signed for by yours truly. Three Brazilians, two shanked putts and a couple of errant tee shots meant it coulda, shoulda been well into double figures. I wouldn't be surprised if some of our better players get into the mid to low fifties on the opening round.

Very worried about this match with Man U. Sure they are lingering at the bottom of the group, but they got here for a reason right? Not bought their way in, they Smith Barney'd it. Plus the owner jason755 is a Gripper and Sipper, can't dislike him for that! The Pirates, back in the friendly confines of Soweto Stadium and full of themselves after the upset with in Italy, started sluggishly but rallied in minutes 20-22 to show some form. Round 1 -8.

For @!$#s sake... If Tranmere didn't have bad luck, they wouldn't have any luck at all.. As Tranmere were about to come out for the 2nd half the lock on the dressing room door lock and handle broke and came off. With lockdown is full swing, there were no locksmiths available to come out and help Tranmere escape the room so therefore they had to forfeit the 2nd half and match to the travellers from up North.
As I missed the cut in sheer frustration I completely forgot dismissed doing Rounds 3 and 4, so my apologies.

I'd be looking at security or someone on the inside and what bets they were placing. Something sinister might be going on...

We will definitely have a closer look if it is reported that the Tranmere keeper was spotted eating a pie in the 37th minute and bowling two no balls in the 7th over.

Not jetlag but sealag getting to the Boys of Soweto. Final 20 minutes of the half started with promise, but their land legs are not quite there.
Round 2 -5.
Onward to some deserved halftime Simba chips and Fanta. Rumor is they fixed the icebox and the Fanta is frosty!

The new endeavors of dehydrated insects and plants, suitable for stews and soups, is started to simmer. Trust me when I say no hand modelling will be done unless the balance sheet goes kaput.

City brought on Kasey Palmer for the last quarter of the game and he did everything he normally does. Some brilliant touches and pinpoint passes, and then gives the ball away cheaply 3 times in succession to put his team under pressure. Fourth round 67. Lol, it's like I saw the future! Palmer gave away a ridiculous penalty yesterday, handball in the box trying to chest it down, and then scored direct from a corner! In other news, I've finally succumbed and bought a new controller. I bought my current one when TGC2019 came out and have struggled with it ever since. Went back to my original controllers for a bit and vastly improved but then one of them failed the API and the other one was borderline so I went back to this one. I know the game has changed since TGC2 but I've always been convinced this controller isn't quite right. So I will be taking on Herne Bay with shiny new boots on! Get well soon xboxjonnyuk. I was one of the lucky ones who had it with no symptoms whatsoever, I've seen first hand how nasty it can be for others. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
