When Clv was building this course I said then he nailed the emotion of Augusta, reading this thread I see I was right, the course can ride you high or take you low. Great job well done Clv you replicated almost perfectly what Bobby Jones had in mind with the design. This point can't be articulated enough. It is absolutely perfect. I am still riding on a little emotional high after playing the tourney, thinking about shots made and shots missed. My mind is clouded with decisions pondered over pitches and putts and approach angles. I see the slopes in the greens and the troubles therein. It's infectous. I hear Jim Nantz commenting on my shot into Rae's Creek. I hear the crowd moan as the ball sunk to the bottom. I see myself standing there, face full of anguish and temporarily broken in spirit. I was so much in the moment on EVERY shot in this tournament. At this time, I don't know how I can transition from this feeling back to the normal grind of standard tournaments. Playing a couple of practice rounds for next week, it just felt so....empty.

Totally agree. Creating the actual course is difficult enough but to create that feelng you have as your ball rolls off the front of the 9th green as you've come up 2 feet short is absolute genius.
Gutted i didn't make the cut and already can't wait to have another go next year

Who won the par 3 contest, and who was low amateur? Some guy named David won the Par 3 contest & it wasn't me , my last name was on the wrong side when they flip a coin to determine the winner.
