Howdy Ladys.
Until the last second I hoped to get a place in the Main-Contest, but unfortunately the other peeps was way too strong!
it was a little dream for me to enter a contest like this and i really was hoping that my progress i made the last 3 courses (especially Shutter Island and Taaymery G.C. , there i was hoping the will find a spot on tour) , was good enaugh for it.
Isnt that easy for a guy like me they dont have such a big notoriety on YouTube, Twitch or here in the community, whatsoever, i still love designing and i will keep it for ever! lol
BUT i'm not sad anymore, i'm happy and hope that i can leave a few marks in this side-contest.
The main-contest is just crazy, especially Group A, G, H are insane (thanks wheel!) and it would be fun to see what they guys doing there!
My idea for the main contest was to create something crazy, some Bioshock like, kind of.
I know that i am not good in creating "tactical-hole" stuff, so i was thinking it would be cool to go out of the box and create a world, that maybe will stay in your mind.
And thats what i will show you here.
I work on a couple ideas since i signed up for the main contest, but nothing was good enaugh for me,
Then i got the idea of a Sci-Fi city, and here it is, pure Fantasy, some different looking bunkers-shapes, floating trains and stuff like that!
Since Mayday called we can start our bulldozers, i work on this world, and for now, thats the resault what i will enter for the side-contest.

But maybe, maybe i go with something like a HUGE fairway for all holes (whats the name for a course like that? Pretty sure there is a name for, but idk.). Never do something like that before, i also never try out a desert-themed-course, but i really want try out something like that. ^^ We never know what will happend. ^^  |

I love the way your mind works😁! To be fair, most of the time my mind is just decoration. But this idea could be something. I just notice right now, the planting needs a lot motivation-beer!  |

You can see pictures of it towards the bottom of page 2 in this thread. I like it! Hm, maybe thats why i decide to create a island, its much easier then to fill all the empty areas and also can stay in a desert/steppe-themed world, that could have been a good option for you too in th erookie-contest. I also will try to add not a single bunker on the whole course (is also something what i never done before). Edit: never mind, i see that you also try out to create your course on a island. xD |

Hi Ossi! Thought I'd give some advice if you do go bunker-free. You could try adding some small pots/hollows - check out Bryn Awelon from the Dream Team which does this really well. Also Q did Asylum faultlessly and I'm sure by the quality of the courses you put out you can definitely do well bunkerless dude! |

Yeah buddy, i know this courses, eespecially Asylum is still in my mind and thats the course where i had the idea from to create a course wthout bunkers. BUT, i cant mess with this two guys. xD Thats for sure! They are much better then me in designing holes. And that's also the reason why i am in a struggle now, i like the bunkerless course i work on right now, but i think there is missing something special like on the courses you called out. I start to overthinking my sh%$ and i am on the way that both of this courses, are not good enaugh for a contest, but maybe thats stupid, idk. I think i will finish 3-4 courses, puplish them all at the "puplish-window", play it with friends and atter that, i will decide wich course i will use for the contest. xD Is that allowed mayday_golf83 ? I cannot lie, but i think a bunkerless course is hard to do for me, a GOOD bunkerless course! Okay okay, so there is a bigger cap between showing some WIP pictures and play the courses with some friend to get their opinion for each course? thats interesting to read, tbh. Just because, i was thinking it doesnt matter. xD If people like the pictures of the course, they also want like to play it and like it then. ^^ Hard to explain. But yeah, i am cool with that. It was just a idea from me to decide wich course i will smash in the contest. ^^ |

That is a damn good question, i really dont know. xD There are so many days left before the puplish window is open, so maybe i will start some more. ^^ I just try to find a course where i am happy with to smash it in a design-contest. My first try in a contest like that, was just a shame and i end up in one of the last places, so i have to do something good now. xD Maybe..... ^^ |
