All publicity is good publicity, so figured I'd use that bump ^ to tell you guys that I have a third idea cooking. The mountain idea is officially off the table due to excessive quirk, so that leaves the Australia idea and this one as my two frontrunners. Kind of a Pete Dye thing buried deep in the everglades. Plot is defined by two large irrigation canals and two swampy areas, with the rest of the land being sandy, marshy scrub.  |

Definitely has that subtropical look going for it, I like that none of the foliage is too tall

Alright, quick fireside chat. Had a solid 7 or 8 holes surfaced when I realized Dye was a little too restrictive for my liking. I felt like to be true to him on a flat site I had to push up every green pad. Decided to quit my "emulate a different designer every time" shtick and use what I've learned studying those guys to just build a Petro course. Everything on this plot is what my eye sees. No consulting GCA or Ross bunker diagrams, just building the holes and the features that I see when looking at the land.    |

I went the same route with my course, CH Alison is just too restrictive for my tastes. Feel like it lets the creative juices flow a bit better
