The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe welcomes you to Minnehaugen Park, a wonderful, newly opened golf course outside the town of Isle, Minnesota. This par 72 course plays short but provides challenges throughout as you navigate the uneven terrain and strategically placed bunkers for the most advantageous angles into equally uneven greens.
Minnehaugen Park is my entry into the Dream Team Contest – Red Team. Please play from the furthest (blue tees) for judging.
Competition Elements Included: -Two drivable par 4s (4, 17) -Four green sites within 200 yards of each other (1, 5, 8, 13) -Four par 4s under 400 yards (1, 4, 9, 17) -One three shot par 5 (11) -One template hole (7, Redan. Inspired by the 4th hole at Swinley Forest) -Five par 5s (2, 6, 11, 13, 15) -Five par 3s (3, 7, 12, 14, 18) -Total yardage below 6,900 (6,892) -Hole one or eighteen a par 3 (18)

Beautiful colors and design work on the walkways (protecting wildlife area or burial ground?)
Tough, but fair driving areas and approaches to the greens.
Great framing and view of #3 and the drive over the waterfall on #5.
#12 was another great par 3 with trouble all around!
Highlight of my round was chip in on #17 for eagle after just missing flagstick on drive. Definitely a hole where tournaments can swing a few shots depending on how aggressive players are.
Of course, I gave back those two shots with a double-bogey on the vicious par 3 - 18th!
-2 for the round that included 4 birdies and an eagle, but also threw up on myself on a few holes.
Yet another unique course and one that plays very realistic! Really enjoyed my round and this is another course that societies could have a blast hosting their tournament on. Lots of scoring chances throughout! Well done!

I have been told there may or may not probably doubtfully be an ancient burial ground under the course haha. Thanks for playing guys. RED TEAM!

Gorgeous course!! Unique way to end the course with a par 3, with some awesome lighting and sculpting throughout. Finished with a -2 70 , after somehow driving the water on hole 10.

Good to see a Swinley Forest inspired hole, it’s my favourite course I’ve played IRL

Good to see a Swinley Forest inspired hole, it’s my favourite course I’ve played IRL The third pic down, 3 bunker redan is the hole. Would love to play that course and from pictures I just thought that par 3 sat so nicely on the hill, I had to use it here

I decided to incorporate that aspect of the contest, plus the routing kind of ended up where a par 3 fit well at the end

Loved it - what texture did you use to get the "splotchy" fairways?
