I am simply stunned by this environment and the course plays well too. I would say this contest is a wrap but there have been a few others where I was very impressed with the course setting provided. But this one is right up there. Excellent work Brian.

Man this wasn’t the course to warm up on this morning. This is an excellent mountain course. From the stunning environment to the excellent use of elevation changes, this course is incredibly well done. The comparison might not make sense if you’ve never played the IRL course, but this reminded me quite a bit of Olympic in San Francisco if it were moved to Colorado Springs. The fairways consistently camber right to left when the approach calls for a left to right shot and vice versa which is something Olympic has in spades. The green sizes are also similar (smallish) w/ one or two predominant slopes to move you around. More than once, I was readying an approach and looked at the green thinking “ok that slope is going to send me towards the back or towards the drop off” when a second later I realized “oh no he put that in as a backstop to help me get towards this pin on a long approach shot rather than punishing me every step of the way.” To paraphrase of one of my favorite b101 design thoughts, “for every slope that hurts to one pin, have one that helps to another.” Job well done, all around. I have no dog in the fight but my very unofficial rankings have blue in a landslide at the moment. The Red captain better steal blue’s pairing plans in advance to have a chance. |

There's gonna be some amazing courses released in the next few days I'm just happy to be a part of it.. Mctrees for some reason it wont let me @ u.. appreciate the feedback and am glad u enjoyed it, one of my design philosophies is "never punish the player for a good shot" I keep this in mind whenever I design a green and try to make sure players are rewarded with a makeable putt..

Just played it a couple times and really loved what you did to that steppe theme, It felt like I was in Northern Arizona (flagstaff-esque) almost. I agree with Ben that the par 5s are are simply unique and all very interesting to play. fun course with a lot of crazy shot choices!

Such an incredible look and environment. Haven't played yet but watched on a stream. Will be playing it soon once I get the urge to pull the clubs back out of the garage

Easily my new favourite course without a doubt! Went into the designer just to see how easy it would be to copy that style... very very difficult!! Which then gave me more respect for how amazing this course is! My only issue is the steep elevation changes but that can just go with the feel of the course! 10/10 congrats
