Always wondered what people thought. Should be a consensus 1-2 but anything's possible. And yes, there are some wrong answers (looking at you RTJ).
Resorts with 2 courses minimum, so no Erin Hills, Coeur d'Alene, etc.
Wanted to put Mid Pines/Pine Needles but they are technically two separate resorts.

Went Bandon, Streamsong and Pebble but I'm stopping at Cypress when I'm out there and you can't stop me.

I have not played any of these courses so I voted for the three that I want to play the most. Went with Big Cedar Lodge (Payne's Valley), Pinehurst, and Pebble Beach. If Torrey Pines was on there I would have voted for that instead of Pinehurst.

I can schedule and stay the night in the resort for 5 days plus play all 5(+) courses at Bandon for the cost of staying one night and just playing pebble at pebble beach. Other than cost people really overlook Spyglass but man do I like that course.
However, are you also rating destination? Bandon is literally in a the middle of nowhere, all you can do is golf at their courses. Pebble has the entirety of Monterey with multiple other playable golf courses in the area and has wonderful tourist destinations, all within less than a 20 minute drive. If you have a family that doesn't golf Bandon is a really hard sell.

Voted Bandon Streamsong and Pinehurst - easy decision for me. I grew up in Northern CA and Pebble Beach was always too exclusive, rich, old men for me, so I will go without

Bandon, Pinehurst & Sand Valley, in that order.

Am I allowed to nominate Sawgrass? Sawgrass felt the same as Torrey for me in that it’s just a public golf complex with no hotel on site. For it to be a “destination” it would need to either have several nice courses on property (RTJ) or be surrounded by other good golf courses (Myrtle). Kicking myself for missing Greenbrier tho.

I have only played Bandon and I can’t imagine anything else providing the same level of variety, gorgeous scenery and fun. Plus staying on site is great where you can pop over to shorties or punchbowl for a late afternoon round with drink in hand then head down to The Bunker to play dice games and drink scotch.....I’ve got my tee times booked in February if they let me over the border!

What about the Lodge and Hilton Hotel? And Kiawah Island? Fair points, but no one should have voted for Torrey anyways. Torrey Pines sucks. These are facts. We only needed 1 wrong answer (and it has 0 votes and I'm happy) Kiawah is a big one I missed but there isn't much to it past the Ocean course so I wouldn't have expected it to get a lot of votes. Other courses are mediocre at best. Still should have put it on there though.
