Pub Crawl Round 3
-7
Another bogey free round but missed a few putts on the back 9.
Overall I'm happy with my last 2 rounds.

Okay folks. I decide to take a little break from this thread and some stuff that's going on here. To much bad vibes about my courses (It's bloody sad that something you're very happy about turns into something really bad. YUCK ) that i really can`t need at the moment. At the moment i have A LOT bad stuff in RL that hurts me a LOT, on the one hand, that my grandma has cancer and the treatment is very tough for her at the moment, and that takes a toll on me. In addition, my cat (15 years old) also does everything else, it hurts a lot to see that she is suffering at the moment and that the vet cannot really help, I can only hope that the medication that she is currently receiving will help. Alos some other stuff going in the totaly wrong dicretion at the moment. I don't need the bad vibes from here, especially if you're already suffering from severe depression. Anyway, we will see us.....at some point.....or not....idk. Later folks. David SirLeOssi I am so very sorry for what you are going through in your personal life. We all have our things that we do not openly share with people we have not been friends with in the internet world, and keep our feelings hidden. We come here to try and get away from all of that, or at least I do. I have enjoyed all your courses and I will continue to seek out new designs by you as you have brought us some wonderful imaginative courses. With that being said I want to say something to our members. There will be times when a course play or design does not suit our play. Or there may be something about a course that could be improved on whether it be lighting , or how a course scheduler has set up conditions or green speed vs overly undulated greens with ridiculous green speed etc the list can grow. There are going to be those days where nothing goes right, fluff it off.. things will turn around, after all it is just a game. We have the ability to communicate to each other in a way that can be helpful not hurtful to members here. We also have private messaging to discuss issues one might have. We also must remember not all speak English and words we post here can translate differently to those who do not speak the English language. Trust me I know from experience on this! We also have to take the time to think before we speak or post. Help one another grow. I hope that what I say here today is read with the understanding I am disappointed that a member is taking a break from forum. I hope David that those personal things going on in your life will somehow get easier for you. I will pray that your mother 's health improves. I am sorry about your pet, we all love them like they are our own children and I understand the sorrow you must be feeling at this time. Please take care of yourself. I hope we will see you in the future as we REALLY enjoy having you be a part of this group. Best Regards Carol/Inflames

The Blue Hawaiian round 1 :
Started off a bit wonky with my driving, but luckily for me, Jason did as well. My recovery shots on the first few holes were a touch better and that allowed me to jump out to an early lead, winning 3 of the first 5 holes. After that, Jason buttoned up his game nicely and started firing darts and making a lot of birdies. Using the old maxim that the best defense is a good offense, I did the same, and a high level of play carried through the next 7 holes - all of which were halved, most with birdies. I made a clutch putt on 13 to steal that one and then just matched the defending champ shot for shot from that point on until he ran out of real estate and I was able to preserve the clean sheet - keeping the honors from the first tee on and advancing to the next round. A hard fought match against a tough and classy opponent, I tip my cap to you, good sir!
Johnny wins 4 & 3 over Jason

One For The Road - enjoyed this course a lot as well, SirLeOssi
Pretty solid round as my game has come into form a bit this week, save for that ghastly 8 on the second in round 2 of the Beer League event. Slight hiccup on a tough green with a 3-putt bogey, but acquitted myself pretty well otherwise. A couple of near-misses kept this from being really good, but still enough to be about 7 shots clear of the PS4 field thus far...

Well played Johnny👏 Thanks mate - it was tough sledding there once you got dialed in around hole 6 or so. I needed to birdie damn near every hole to keep pace. I also play SO much better when I'm not streaming - when I'm on Twitch, I'm more concerned with rate of play and trying to make the stream entertaining for the viewers and my concentration and precision goes right out the window, every time. This is a lifelong problem of mine. My mother STILL, to this day, holds on to a report card of mine from 3rd grade wherein the teacher wrote (verbatim quote):
"John is an extremely gifted student, however, he is far more concerned with entertaining his classmates than he is with excelling at his school work. He has been disciplined repeatedly for excessive talking/joking, and it seems to have no effect whatsoever." :lmao:

As the scorecard shows, this was a good old ding dong battle! I was 2 up after 2 holes but was 1 down after 6 after David rattled in a nice birdie putt. I birdied 8 and 9 to be 1 up after 9. The back and forth continued with David making another nice birdie putt on 13 followed by an excellent tee shot on the par 3 14th leaving him a tap in birdie to take the hole. Going into 15 1 down, I had an 8 foot birdie putt but before I got to take it I watched David make a bogey 5. Feeling over confident that I could get down in two from 8 feet to win the hole was a mistake as I missed the birdie putt and then did some funny squiggly thing on the par putt from 2 feet and missed; meaning that I also bogeyed and we walked off with half each. Doh. We both birdied 16 and 17 so I headed into 18 1 down feeling sure that my mistake on 15 had cost me the match. But on 18 I holed a decent long putt to win the hole and we finished all square, well played David. I'm not quite sure how the count back works so I'll leave that to Ben/Bovakian. Cheers.
