I think some people might need to turn the brightness up on their screens and/or adjust their gammas!

Walk of Shame - First Half, Eyes Wide Shut Full disclosure: the darkness of the course is out of the hands of the designer #BlamePablo... errrrr... #BlameCatcherman. Seriously, though, we’re at the mercy of the society admins who set the conditions, and in all honesty, no course is any good at dusk. Secondly, if you practice a course, and find bunkers at 290 yards on every fairway impeding your progress, do what I did, and leave your driver at home. Swapped that joker out for an off brand 3-iron, and teed off with a 248 yard 3W, and I didn’t drive a single bunker that wasn’t on a par 3. Practiced with that, in addition to a 229 3H, and 215 3i, and had a lovely round of many birdies. Naturally, none of that transferred into real life play, as will be evidenced by my cards (sorry, Menaces). But it wasn’t because it wasn’t playable that way. So... I extend Mr. Gee my thanks for the course, which clearly took a lot of effort, and extend my hopes that things can turn around for you away from this madness we call pixel gawlf. The rest of us who insist on always using a big driver are only compensating for having little putters. Speaking of tiny, SkyBlueBen, I give you my first two rounds, from the tiniest of effort. Rd 1: +1 Rd 2: E Cards presented at the in game lighting level. As our esteemed latex industry magnate always says...

David SirLeOssiI'm so sorry that real life is so upsetting for you at the moment. The issues away from here are obviously far more important than a little game of pixel golf and I hope you stay strong and get through this very distressing period for you. As for the courses I think designers and schedulers need thick skins. I remember you yourself being very scathing a few months back about Albamont Golf Club. You'll never please everyone and you need to keep that in perspective. For every player that's not enjoying something with your design there's probably 49 that are really enjoying it. From what I have seen your designs have been very well received. FWIW I agree that the dusk setting being used isn't great for tournaments and implore schedulers to take that into consideration when setting conditions. Us old buggers' eyesight isn't what it once was. Take care and I hope to see you around the thread in the future and look forward to featuring more of your designs.

Nice for some To be honest the one thing I don't do now is change my club's. Waste of effort as fat as I can see. I've chosen a set that satisfies my OCD and stuck with it. Never been a fan of plonking bunkers in the landing zone but I know there's hundreds of courses out there like that. Are real life courses designed like that? I don't know, I don't play the game and only really watch the Ryder Cup on the tellybox. To be fair, unless it's a par 5 I'm not too fussed about landing in bunkers, better there than the rough, you can still normally reach most par 4's comfortably.

NOTE ALL XBOX PLAYERS - A MUST READLes lessangster David H portred Ashton Ashton Fox Randy RHMIII Mark B mbuenger Kie Kie Mitch volinvietnam
In keeping with current form I have massively cocked up The Brew Crew Society round settings this week in selecting the 9 hole version of Papuwa Muerta. True to form I also messed up Les' Society that he had kindly helped out with within minutes of him setting it up so I am eternally grateful to Kie for getting me out of a hole!
For this week only would you please join the Brew Crew Too society where the proper course for this week's Brew Crew Society round has been set up for you to play.
Les lessangster and Kie Kie thanks so much for your help. Maybe we can find a use for the Society's for you XBoxers after this week. I know you XBox boys enjoy your get togethers.
If any of the Brew Crew Xboxers fancy a playalong round whilst they are watching the golf on Sunday I have set up a new one round event in the 'Brew Crew Too' society. Starting at 1am BST Sunday and running for 2 days. Entry is free and the prize fund is 1150 coins to replicate the $11.5 million prize fund of the real life tournament... Pimento Cheese sandwiches are $1.50!
SkyBlueBen My Sunday tournament at the National Golf Club will be played under Noon/Clear settings if you fancy firing up your Xbox for it!

I'd love to join you Kie but I reserve Sunday to get my rounds played. I'm currently trying to cut the competitive rounds down a bit because I'm having to rush round to fit them in. I like to get things clear so I can deal with the scoring and any issues that arise during the week.

Ok guys, was this update that you were discussing just for consoles. I was just on steam and there's no update for PC. My current build ID is 6345277 and my game was last updated on March 17th. Can any other PC players check their current build please?

OFTR +9 SkyBlueBen I can not hit a fairway or sink a putt to save my life this week, it may be due to the new update, or I am just having a bad week; possibly both, but I'm blaming the former. A bunch of red fasts on every course I played on this week, in societies, career mode, or otherwise. This is usually not an issue, and hitting the fair 70%+ usually isn't an issue either, but now I'm not even close to that... Maybe I should re-calibrate the clubs to get in line with the enhancement to the swing control? Though I doubt it will do much in the way of good. Ah well, practice makes perfect.
