The score looks damn bad, but that was a pretty nice and fun course! I tried to take the riskiest shot on almost every hole, unfortunately it didn't pay off this time, but it was a lot of fun nonetheless.   |

Great respect to everyone who is so committed to the Cyder Cup and who put an incredible amount of work into it! Hopefully what we’ve done for this one has worked. 32 matches was too many to do full reports on each so a selection was taken and we should all thank Mark IGolfBad for organising them. I hope the drip feeding of fixtures and results has added to the suspense. Just a shame it’s not closer!! 🤣 |

It’s a deceptively tough course and it’s easy to get yourself in a heap of trouble. It’s a good Modified Stableford course as there are a number of very good risk/reward holes. |

The Cyder Cup - Day 3 Match 4
The Monarchs Jason jason755 took control of this quite early on and despite a spirited comeback by the Strikers Simon SAM at the start of the back nine Jason secured a comfortable victory by sharing the spoils on the 15th. Monarchs have one hand on the trophy. Latest Monarchs 13 Strikers 7

My 3rd and final competitive round in the Cyder Cup is complete, I don't know if it'll count for much in the end. But good luck to all who have still to tee off and thanks again for the invite. With the 3rd round being as useful as peanut shells in a box of Oreos, I decided to have a little fun with the round! That's right, Fox5 is firing up tonight to bring you the meaningless round of the Monarchs captain and vice captain!  lessangster 's ghost and I will be taking a loop around the course as I try to best his score while getting to know the grumpy man who is helping to lead the Magners Monarchs! As always, if you can't catch this live it will be available on replay... The Cyder Cup - Day 4 Match 1
The opening match of the Day 4 singles saw two of the proper heavyweights face up in The Rumble in The Sand Belt (I know, doesn't rhyme, doesn't really work!). In the Red Monarchs corner Johnny "The Mutt's Nuts" Bollocks evilgrin72 and in the Blue Strikers corner Charles "The Swedish Slayer" Lindbergh deathstar and it proved a hell of a slugfest with the players driving on the 18th with Johnny needing to win the hole for a tie but a sublime birdie by Charlie saw him safely bag the point. The Cyder Cup - Day 4 Match 2
This match pitted the Strikers Golden Boy Davis S dave69 against the Monarchs sacrificial pig Les lessangster and it was bacon batches all round as Dave cruised to a 5 & 4 win with the match finishing on the 14th. Can the Strikers get back into the game? Latest Monarchs 13 Strikers 9

The Cyder Cup - Day 3 Match 2With the Strikers trying to claw their way back into the match we came to two very evenly matched players who put on a great fight with the Monarchs Jeff hoosierhoops24 building a 3 hole lead by the 16th and the Strikers Pat's Celtic Wolf strong finish counting for nothing. Monarchs can smell the sweet taste of victory beginning to waft over Royal Melbourne which is overpowering the succulent smell of the fried sacrificial pig....just 2.5 points to go. The Cyder Cup - Day 3 Match 6
With the Strikers hopes fading fast it was up to the Columbus Lip Mark IGolfBad to keep them in the game taking on the Monarchs Leon Loftyando and he gave it one hell of a shot as the players traded blows with Leon drawing things level on the 17th leaving all to play for on the 18th. Neither player could manage a killer birdie and walked off straight into the bar to get stuck into the bacon over a few beers as Mark gave Leon his unique run down on the events of the day. Latest Monarchs 14.5 Strikers 9.5
