CYDER CUP - MATCH REPORTDAY 4 SINGLES BEN TOUGH SkyBlueBen vs CAROL SANTAPAULA inflames47  Bogeyman Pete with you again for this important Day 4 singles match between two very evenly matched players. Ben the TOUGH from Coventry against the Swedish bombshell Carol. It's a little known fact but Carol is actually a sister of Paige, the Brew Crew's mascot. Anyway Pete get your mind back to the golf please. The combatants started out warily and it was all square after two. Ben then birdied the next two to be 2 up after 4. the 5th went to Carol and the next two were halved. Carol then birdied two in a row to go 3 -2 up at the turn. Unfortunately for Carol, Ben swept home with wet sails and took 4 of the next 6 holes with the remaining 2 being halved. Ever the gentlemen. Ben, as the official scorer, offered to fudge the scores for a Carol win. Unfortunately for Ben, his captain got wind of this and said sorry Ben. No fvcking way - we need the points - stop thinking with your d!ck! Much needed win for the Strikers - 3 & 2

The Cyder Cup - Day 4 Match 3With hopes fading the Strikers Loko Ken jg24kl faced the Monarchs Dan catcherman22 and Ken was left reeling as The Catcherman reeled off birdie after birdie leaving Ken facing some kind of madness!! It was all over on the 14th, a hole that has seen many Strikers dreams die. The trap door is closing on the Strikers.... Latest Monarchs 15.5 Strikers 10.5

The Brew Crew Season 4With The Cyder Cup coming to it's conclusion there's no let up in Brew Crew World. Season 4 will commence on Sunday 28th March so here's a little guide as to what will be happening...

Regular SeasonAs always we will be following the TGCT Beer League schedule beginning at Black Lava Cove on 28th March 2021. The season will be played out over 5 weeks as previously. Each team member was given a random number within their team and a structured fixture list has been constructed. Personally I would prefer to see the return of Captain's for Season 5. First two rounds must be played by the TGCT cut deadline unless otherwise arranged by contacting Admin. Final two rounds by TGCT end of week deadline. Players registered outside of the Beer League will be expected to post either their scorecard for each round or a screenshot of the final summary. Players playing late or failing TGCT criteria for score acceptance will be DQ which will also be detrimental to their team mates. This also applies to those who play outside of the Beer League, any API indiscretion in Pro/CC leagues will be deemed applicable to TBC rounds. Leon Loftyando will post the fixtures on a weekly basis and if you're lucky Pete bogeyman will hopefully find room in his reports for Paige!!
There will also be the usual Society round which will be played alternate Modified Stableford/Better Ball as in previous seasons. This is also noted on scoresheet. The courses selected are by TBC designers and I'd like to thank Carol inflames47 who has kindly taken the position on of selecting courses/conditions and setting them up in the Society. You are required to provide a scorecard for the Society event and if you forget to save it you will be expected to go back in and play against your own ghost to retrieve it.

Knock Outs
The Individual knock out competition for this season has been kindly taken on by David K @bovakian . The draw has already been made and look out for his messages which will detail all you need to know about courses/conditions etc. Please look out for his messages, they will explain everything you need to know without having to bother him further. In the event of a tie we will count back from hole no. 18.
The Team knock out will again use scores drawn from Round 4 of the regular Beer League rounds and will be scored in Better Ball Match Play format. In the event of a tie we will count back from hole no. 18. We hope to put together a team of subs to compete as previously.End of Season
The End of Season event will be the European Open (course to be decided, Dan catcherman22 is trying to find something suitable) where both Gross and Handicap championship's will be competed for and will be open to all TBC registered players. If the subs would like to be included on the HC leaderboard I will need you to supply your weekly Beer League result for Averages calculation.
Generally, if you want to know something the information is usually already out there. All scoresheets and the rules are available in post 2 on the opening page of the thread.

Well there is no easy way of putting this, the Strikers have been totally demolished, I've tried to drag it out but there's only so far I can take an absolute thumping. Nicely fitting that the Founding Father of The Brew Crew Mike katana22 should be the one that secures retention of The Cyder Cup for the Monarchs despite a brave attempt by Ernie cappy1 who just couldn't level things over the last 2 holes despite securing birdies on both. Congratulations to the Monarchs. Brought your A game and were deserved WINNERS. Strikers, you're just playing for pride now.... Latest Monarchs 16.5 Strikers 10.5

There is just one Preliminary Round match to get Season 4's Individual Knock Out underway as follows:- Match to be played by midnight GMT on 3rd April 2021  PC - Bloody Mary Cup
David Kendall @bovakian vs Leon Anderson Loftyando Please contact your opponent by pm to arrange fixture. These matches can be played in either of two ways..... (1) Live by agreement of both players to a suitable time. Played in Match play format. Scorecard to be posted on thread. (2) By the 2nd named player playing a stroke play round by Wednesday midnight GMT, informing his opponent where to find the ghost (ie date played) and the first named player playing that ghost in match play format. Scorecard to be posted on thread. In the event of a tie we will countback from Hole 18 to determine the winner. No show gives opponent the match obviously. The match is to be played at Druids Glen Golf Resort by our featured designer for this season Cathal O'Sullivan cathalos1991 under the following conditions. Welcome to another intriguing season of pixel golf with the best group in all of TGCT land, The Brew Crew.
Week 1 of the Pub Crawl Season takes us to Black Lava Cove, a fictional Highlands theme course with a par of 72 which was created by Christian Andrade.
Course Description:
Black Lava Cove is designed to look as if the course was built throughout a black lava rock island. The lava rock is paired with lots of dunes styled bunkers to create beautiful contrast between the white sand and the dark black lava rock. The overall yardage of the course states it is long, but tee shots create angles which can shorten the holes length.

Week 1 – One for the Road
The 1st week of the season is everybody’s favourite format, Modified Stableford at Kentash Bay by Ken Wise.
This is a fictional Highlands theme course which has a par of 71.
Course Description:
Kentash Bay is a wild Highlands theme links style course. It is nestled amongst the dune fields between the Ken River and the Tash River that both run into Kentash Bay, with its long sandy beaches and the Bay Rock with its lighthouse. The core design concept was "wild". Inspired by great Aussie links courses like Barnbougle and Moonah Links, this 7004 yard, Par 71 course has undulating firm and fast fairways with unforgiving bunkers. The greens are generally firm and fast with some wicked slopes that will punish a misplaced approach shot but will reward good "bump and run" approach play. Low scores are possible if the winds are being kind but watch out if those highlands winds get up. Have fun!
