Confession time. I've been that busy playing around I missed the Promotion announcement for 22/10/23. If anyone was promoted, or for that matter relegated, in TGCT Week 3 please let me know. Crawling Pubs Rounds First and Second or A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Noble Mackerel  Found myself on the Elvens Club this week…  Knocked up against my old pill doc colleague Dr. Bing mbuenger whose team is ripe for a smacking by the Casuals. The usual “meh” effort ensued, and I wrangled a beaut of a Humphrey to seal things up on 18, the third in a series of three on the round, to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Rd 1: -6  It was previewing the Round 2 outcome when I noted I had been staked to an 18-stroke deficit by my partner, The Matchstick Man Harveydog500, who fell upon some hard times out on the emerald lawns of the Elves.  Matched (no pun intended) the three bogeys from the previous round when, in a grave error in judgement, this happened: Oops… Art Vandelay, I’ll give you first crack at you know what… Rd 2: -4  Didn’t win the round, but I did see plenty of elves.  |
