Well, felt like it has been a long while since I posted a scorecard in here.

Towards the end of 2k21, I think I missed a lot of the final events as I came down with the dreaded covid for a good few weeks. Probably a bit of karma as although I did take it serious, like most. I certainly uttered the words "I'm 24, I'll barely notice it if I get it." Safe to say after spending two weeks pretty much bedridden (apart from crawling my way to the kitchen to feed the cats) cursing the fact that my girlfriend was enjoying her holidays in the Alzures. I'm sure she was thinking "well this was the perfect time to get away from him."

It's good to get back playing TGC & TBC rounds, we have just moved into our first house so I'm having to sneak in the rounds either late at night or in-between some of our many DIY or cleaning sessions. (The fun....)
My enthusiasm for this season wasn't exactly high, mainly down to the 'consumable balls' situation. Glad they finally saw the light and made them a lockable option from next week. 

Anyway on to the golf.
Rd 1: This was my best score on the game at this point so couldn't complain. 

Rd 2: A round that could have easily got away from me, a 3 putt from 10ft on hole 1 and was E after 7, but a few eagles plus and hole in 1 on the back 9 dug me out of what could have been a poor round.

Rd 3: One of those rounds where everything seemed to click, tempo was on point and in truth never left myself a hard putt. My best round on this game so far, just not sure how many times I'll be able to replicate that. 

Rd 4: So, from the joys of barely missing a shot in rd 3, i hit under 30% FIR this round, it was a scramble from start to finish. Going from most of the putts dropping to not making a thing, kind of sums up golf perfectly. The only saving grace was a nice eagle on the last, but was a disappointing finish to what could have been a very good first tournament of the TBC season. 

I thought the course was a pretty nice looking track to begin the season on, it was a fairly simple set up but played true and fair.
The only thing I noticed on many of the holes was if you missed the fairway by an inch, you were in the heavy rough and if you missed your drive by 10-15 yards you were able to find some nice fluffy light rough. This probably worked in my favour as when I'm errant off the tee, it's Phil Mickelson errant. 

Finally, glad to be on the team 'The Cupid Stunts' under the leadership of our captain sid snott for this season. We've won already in having the best team name, so whatever happens no-one can take that away from us.

Haha prowse00 the way you are playing on this game,  I'm pretty certain you'll be knocking me off that top score some of the weeks. Big congrats in getting into Kinetic by the way. You are playing some quality golf.

There's been confusion about this and if you think the way the game works is dumb, well... you're not alone. When you trade 3 orange for a specific slot/attribute, you don't guarantee that it'll be the highest. You guarantee that you'll get at least 8(?) of that. I have no idea if they're equally distributed or if it's weighted in some direction. With the rng roulette in play, it's possible to get 9-12 of another random stat that is not the one that you requested. It just labels the fitting based on the highest one. The system still gave you +8 or whatever of the stat you wanted, it just happened to give you more of another one too. Remember that the stats can go down to -4 or whatever, so even if you get +8, that's still pretty good even if you wanted 10 or higher.

Looks like you're definitely right Gordy 👍. Transition is +9, but because Timing is +10, it's called a Timing shaft. I'm fine with that. My problem is that I wanted to replace a Power fitting +10. Unfortunately the new fitting is Power -2, therefore losing 12 to Power and leaving a 20 yard gap between PW and GW. Too much. Don't get me started on why PW isn't included in Wedges 😲. On my other clubs in the bag, irons for instance, a Transition shaft fitting is +4 Power, so I would have only lost 6 from my Power fitting and things would be fine.
Hope this makes sense. Very fiddly I know, but reds are hard to come by and I lost 5 for nothing.

Rd 3(-4)

Playing a little more better with better approach shots. I worked a little on the range and found yet another problem I had. It is very simple. I just holding my controller different in my hand. I tried it on the range and was hitting consistent shots that were straight.

But I had 1 eagle, 5 birdies, 10 pars and 1 bogey and 1 double bogey. That double was a result from a bad splash that sailed.

Round 3 card

Rd 4 (-4)

Round 4 was a slight struggle with a couple of holes on the front 9. I’d trade a bogey for a birdie on two occasions and it kept me at Even par thru 9….On the back 9 I had my shots working well. I got 4 birdies and finally felt good with my game. I just need to tighten up some putts. My approach shots were so much better. I’d still chip a few times from the rough but my misses were not bad. I immediately knew what the problem was where as prior I had no clue on how to correct my swing.

Well bugger me sidewards. An Ace on 13th but still that's all I can show. Lots of slows for me tonight , just could not keep a grip and it led to my 2 bogeys.

1stly a small rant cant be more pleased they made it default ball for TGCT majority of us gasped when we found out balls could change green speed it was a game changer for sure

personally hated the idea as i still do now as bubbsboy100. knows & others maybe in another game where you can win real cash same green speeds for all no matter what ball you used

at least wind on this game we all get the same (i think) as for chipping bunkers think that the best move to make as you can learn to flop if dont want to splash (watch kara cakes video on spashes for info)

as for me had a bad round 2 CC meaning i dont even make cut (gutted)

normally i would play last 2 end of week but knowing i didnt make cut i thought may aswell get it over with

dont think im gonna be the player i was in 21 prowse00 takes that role now well done m8  & a few others too
