I've changed my archetype from woodsman to rhythm and fitted the three orange fittings that I had lying around. It seems to be doing something as my scores are getting better, even had three rds under par, the best of being 3 under, admittedly while doing career on easy, but it's still with master settings. Just been and looked at the rest of the fittings and splashed out on some more fittings which hopefully should see more improvement. Trying to concentrate on improving my natural ability of not swinging straight by adding the fittings that will bump this up. About half way through the levels at 25. Leaving the skills alone at the moment, not sure if their worth bothering with as they come and go and mess with what I've gotten used to . I reckon the column 7 'always on' skills are worth having Paul, as they give you a swing path boost (2 points) ot timing boost (3 points) on shots from the tee/fairway. Yeah most of the column 7 things are good but beware you have to add the right number of points to get the ones you want. |

Stealth Driver Les. I'm now playing with the same driver I use in real golf. Callaway Rogue ST. Same putter as well. Scotty Cameron. My mums irons are not in the game that’s what I play with when I play 😜 Edit: I’ve got an original Zebra putter as well that’s not in there either. Maybe the candy cane one Les🤔 |

well these pictures show what i did ,i went powerhouse probably wasnt right i know just wanted to use some stuff but may cost me dear when i have to change them lol on a sad sort of note started working monday temp till xmas not worked for a year & its @!$#ing me up forgot what a hard days graft was lol so not a lot of time for this till w/ends i guess so just geeting a round or 2 in a day on career mode for now ...

4 am post by Tim. It could get ugly. Brain fog. So reading the official pga2k23 discord thingy. Apparently the 7'th column "always on" perks Stack. You know where it says level 1 transition or level 2 swing path or level 3 timing If you have put all 3 points in there you get all boosts. Going to test/try it out later on when I reset.  |

Something that is confusing me, is it only the consumable balls that change the green speed, none of the putting perks have the same effect do they?

So, me being the immeasurable genius that I am, I've managed to brick my PC and am now typing on an ancient rig that my wife kindly got down from the attic. Work forced me back in March to upgrade to Windows 11 and get Bitlocker, the key for which I saved and then, as it has turned out, lost.
I'd been getting blue screens while playing 2K23, even on lowest graphics settings, so yesterday lunchtime I decided to run a scan on my drivers. That's when the gates of hell opened and my PC figured enough was enough. Any attempt to do a system restore, or as a last resort a full factory reset, was met with Bitlocker steadfastly refusing to let me do anything at all.
There was nothing for it but to turn to the experts. A million Google searches, a million failed command prompts and restarts, and a million colourfully phrased reactions later ...
As a result, through very much gritted teeth, this morning I have ordered a new PC -- through Currys *vomits between shudders* -- and it should be here tomorrow morning. It's not the upgrade I would have chosen, but it's the only one I can barely afford. I need it for work, and Currys were pretty much the only people I could find with next-day delivery on what I was prepared to settle for.
Pros: upgrade to a 3060Ti from a 1080 Ti; and a better processor. Cons: having to go on the game -- figuratively rather than literally -- as I am now, for all intents and purposes, skint.
I'm currently downloading the game to see if I can play it today, even at lowest settings, on a 650 card that's been sitting in my attic for 5 years. Wish me luck.
The worst thing is that all of this is my fault, even though I've seen many people reporting the same thing happening to them. Had I known that Bitlocker was going to punish me for not being careful enough about saving the key, I would have printed it off and wallpapered the house with it. It feels like a mate has died and I killed him. I don't think I've ever been this upset at my own stupidity

As far as I know it's only the consumables that do change the speed. I haven't actually used one since the official TGCT and Brew Crew events started. Been on default since Sunday. The putting perks I don't quite understand a lot of them or why I would want them but have seemed to put a lot of my points in that area. I don't understand roll for example. Why would I want more roll when the ball won't stop in the 1'st place. Put weight, same thing, don't quite understand it. Putt path, no brainer and since my blue line is never in the center I figured I best put points in there. I've digressed. So, roll for example, would that slow the ball down? I don't know. We need someone to do a deep dive into the putting. The thread "short game tips" someone put a video of a guy explaining splash shots. I just got back from watching a few of his videos. He seems to know his stuff. Some of it doesn't apply to me. Like looking at your avatar. I don't look at him, ever. It's all feel for me with me kind of looking down the center of the screen. Same with putting. I look at the cup and ignore my dude on screen. That just messes with my head Digression number 2. lol I'd like this guy to do a deep dive on putting though, explain what all the terms do, what the perks do etc. |

That's when the gates of hell opened and my PC figured enough was enough. No idea what bitlocker is but you just brought back a memory for me. My 1'st computer in 1998. Never used a computer before. Couple months in I had maybe one or ten too many shots of Crown Royal (back when I would have a few drinks, straight CR. No mix no ice. don't drink now at all) I decided to upgrade my graphics card. Downloaded the wrong driver. Rebooted and the screen was an unreadable mess of multi colored lines. Like tv snow but all lines. That's the day I learned about safe mode. |

Ooh this is very interesting. I thought that you only get one of the options based on how many points you put in. But if you get all three if you pay 3 points then happy days. Would be good to have this confirmed. |
