I would think it is highly unlikely that Simon will touch EA Golf as he is a PCer through and through plus he stated sometime ago that his enjoyed TGC more than the old EA Tiger games because of the designer and with no designer in the new EA Golf game it will be a no purchase as it will be with me. Of course. Must admit I'll likely buy it on XB. Looking like I'll probably cave in and get 2K23 on XB also. Got some credit to use up, nowt I particularly want on the XB, so will probably get it even if it's just to help set up TBC societies  I most likely will get on PS5 |

Noticed for the past week or so Simon SAM has gone awol. Last log in here 4 Sept. Disappeared from my Steam friends list. I fear the worst. Hoping for the best. I haven't herd anything from Simon but I can see that he's read the message 14hrs ago with no reply, I to have been removed from FB, his discord channel & steam friends list. He has also removed himself from the brew crew discord. So unless I hear anything from him I'd say Carol is pretty much spot on, really a shame as I thought Simon & I were good mates. Thanks Mike. |

Art Vandelay SkyBlueBenTBC Major  Enjoyed this although some of it was very tough. The rounds with wind, 187 greens with slopes were the hardest, but still enjoyed it. This is not a criticism but just curious why we went with this version against the Bing Crosby version, which imo is a little superior to this one? On a brighter note - a little over 2 weeks to go

Designers showcase week-end : Saturday @ Mt Honey botanic Gardens and Sunday @ Dovetail Park
Mt Honey is a really nice course, but I still have problems there(in fact just this bloody double). I still putt rather poorly.
Dovetail brings back fond memories of the early days. Missed Jessica by a fin hair on the 5th. Putting was more confident, and that shows.

MAJOR (OF THE LAST ORDER) Art Vandelay 1st 2 rounds were ugly but well-deserved. Had a quad on R1 1st hole after missing 5 putts.  And playing early with no ghosts usually translates into rushing (i.e., playing the whole time like I had to go to the loo). This morning, R3 and R4 were leisurely and coffee-fueled. I ghosted Marc Crazy Croc on the last two rounds and have to say his hole-out on 16 (R3) was amazing!

Division 4 RUMble done!  Congrats Jeff hoosierhoops24 on going undefeated but the perfecto was spoilt by Paul D thetaffman brilliant Dash to the Bar. Three way tie for the kitchen utensil was decided by the tie breaker of head to head to head. Commiserations Pete bogeyman, you got that spoon licked. Onward! Wooden Spoon to promotion, if I can do it you can bogeyman... I'm screwed next season then lol, don't miss me too much Division 4, we'll see each other soon enough again. |

Last Call Round 2Art VandelayBit of time on my hands as the last update has screwed my Microsoft Flight Simulator (nothing new there!) so what better way to spend it than a round with The Brew Crew. Front nine was a proper dog's breakfast....  After a great start again it all went a bit tits up on the 187's....  ....and ended up reaching the half way point just 1 under. Needed a much better back nine and got it with the 18th being my saving grace again with a splash out of the bunker for another closing Eddie. Onward!!!

Last Call - A Pint and a chaser.Art VandelayDecided to finish up Art. I simply have no patience. It's a gift  A solid enough 3rd round saw me hold a slender lead going into the 4th round on the PC leaderboard after the Croc Man Crazy Croc had tore the course apart. It was pretty tight...  Onto Round 4 and couldn't buy a birdie putt....  ...and was 1 shot behind the Croc Man as I teed off on the 18th. But thankfully he showed up again.... Fun fact. Got an eagle on the closing hole of every round.

I had to start my first 3 rounds earlier as we have a Hurricane forecasted on Wed for us in the Tampa Bay area. The European models have the damn center of the storm aiming right at us. The last time we had a storm this close I had lost power for 11 days. I’m dreading this…….
Anyway the course is a favorite to play. I love everything except the greens. I just cannot hit my birdie putts consistently with the hard side breaks. I always seem to find myself on the wrong portion of the green.
